Great spot with lovely amenities and truly exceptional customer service. In particular, Jeanne A. in Concierge Services went above and beyond to make sure all of our business needs were met. She was incredibly helpful, attentive, and accommodating. Fantastic service all around!

I recently stayed at the Claremont Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The property was beautiful, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything was clean and well maintained. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and I’d be happy to return.

Right as we pulled in, we knew this place was special. The on-site amenities are top tier—they have an awesome kids club that our some loved. The building’s history is extremely cool (highly recommended to take a look at the walls; Mrs. Doubtfire was filmed here). But most importantly was the staff. The first person we met was Effie, who helped us check in. She’s really the best. She gave us all the information we needed to have the most smooth time here possible. We were celebrating our son’s 7th birthday and she really helped us get the schedule right. We really appreciated her help, along with the rest of the staff, of course. But the people are what make this place awesome. Thank you for the experience!

I booked a weekend staycation at the Claremont resort & club for my husband’s and son’s birthdays and our experience from beginning to end was truly amazing. The bay view from our deluxe king suite was breathtaking! A special thank you to Effie for taking such wonderful care of us and going above and beyond to make our stay so special. She was incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay, from recommending the best things to do and places to visit, to helping us book reservations and making sure we had the most amazing seating at Limewood. Limewood was also such a wonderful experience. The service and food were both top notch, and having such a beautiful table made our brunch & dinner even more special. We truly appreciated how clean, welcoming, and charming the hotel was. The hospitality, amenities. attention to detail, and beautiful atmosphere made our stay so comfortable and memorable. Our family genuinely had the best experience. Thank you again, Effie, for taking such great care of us and making our stay even more special. I will start out by saying I love the Claremont. It’s a beautiful classic building in a perfect location on the Berkeley/Oakland border. The rooms are beautiful, they are always spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff is very accommodating, always happy to provide something I forgot, or extra vases so I can decorate with fresh flowers. The pool and weight room are lovely. The location is a 15 minute walk to the Cal campus or the Rockridge shopping area in Oakland/Berkeley. There’s no place like it that provides a nice resort like experience in the Bay Area.
