Located right on the Potsdamer Platz, Berlin's most celebrated public square and the busiest intersection in Europe, Grand Hyatt Berlin has its finger on the pulse of the city's business deals and cultural attractions. The hotel is defined by its clean, crisp architectural lines and lofty open spaces - there's an indelible sense of big-city chic here. Even though the best of Berlin surrounds Grand Hyatt, an array of in-house activities might inspire an afternoon in: Winemaker events, sake tastings and cooking classes emphasize the hotel's gourmet-centric philosophy, while an impressive rooftop spa and fitness complex welcomes the weary traveler looking to unwind.

Grand Hyatt Berlin was phenomenal, we didn’t wanna leave! Central location (20 min walk to Brandenburg Gate) to a lot of the landmarks and the train station. Staff were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Room was exquisite and definitely had the wow factor, I didn’t wanna go around town because it meant leaving the hotel! Restaurant and bar services were both amazing. Tried the spicy miso soup, out of this world delicious and hearty! Overall, highly recommended!

Central location, helpful and responsive staff. Fruit supplied daily, Balmain toiletries, magazines in room, nice decor, clean and quiet.

Appalling experience. Told on arrival, after a long journey, that our family of 4 (2 adults,2 young children) - were being split across 2 rooms on 2 different floors. Our family had one reservation for two twin rooms - and we made explicit as part of this that we needed 2 connecting rooms. We made clear we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children, including providing the ages of the children, The hotel had all this information in advance yet nonchalantly told us at check in - as if it was no big deal - that we were being given 2 separate rooms, on 2 different floors. When we protested, the duty manager got involved but to little avail - she claimed the hotel was fully booked and that she could do nothing. It took several more protests, each more infuriated than the last, before we were eventually given two rooms next to each other (but not connecting) - pending escalation to the director of rooms Philipp Schleife who is due to call us on the morning of Saturday 23 August to discuss connecting rooms. Based on our experience thus far we will never again as a family choose to stay in a Grand Hyatt - how silly to think this would be a treat for us to enjoy at the end of the summer break; so far it has been nothing but a nightmare. A stark contrast to the other hotels where we have stayed this summer that have been superb (the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper and the Kimpton de Witt Amsterdam). Grand Hyatt has a lot to learn about basic customer service.

Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Berlin was outstanding. We had six nights there with club access! Club access included a wonderful breakfast in the main dining room. We had access to all the bottled water and coke we desired. There was even wine available at the dinner in the club room. The room was great once I learned to use the drapes to keep out early morning light. I really appreciated access to a computer that enabled me to book a few more things and print tickets while in Berlin.Hotel computer access was a rarity on this 2 week trip in Europe. The location was fantastic with easy access to public transport, restaurants and shopping.
