With beautifully designed accommodations and a location within the famous Gendarmenmarkt, Hilton Berlin offers the perfect venue to begin your adventure in Germany's capital. A short drive from the city's two major airports, our hotel is within walking distance of Berlin's major attractions, like the French and German Cathedrals and the concert house.

Firstly, the good points. The hotel is in a lovely location, within a good walking distance to the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag Building, Checkpoint Charlie etc. Local transport links are close by, so getting around the city is pretty easy. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and the rooms were pretty spacious for a city hotel. Easy check-in and check out and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms had bathrobes and slippers, mini bar, iron etc. It was the good standard you'd expect to see from the Hilton brand. For the slightly bad points. The rooms weren't hoovered between cleans, nor were the tea/coffee facilities replenished so we had to regularly ask for tea bags, milk and sugar. We don't usually opt for breakfast when on holiday as we prefer to sample different cafes/restaurants in the area, which was the right choice on this occasion, as it was 38 euros per person, which we thought was a little steep for breakfast. Overall it was a positive stay and would definitely visit again.

We stayed here in September. The rooms were clean and modern and the staff was helpful and friendly. The daily breakfast was excellent. The only downside was the bathtub. It was very deep and my elderly mother had issues getting in and out of the shower. Very serious hazard for older guests. This may be a European design because we had this issue in several hotels.

Nothing short of the Hilton standard here. Fantastic location right in the heart of all attractions. Staff so friendly, acknowledge you every time you walk through the hotel. Breakfast was a reasonable price for a fantastic selection. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Toiletries plentiful and wonderful quality, not to mention to scent (delightful) Will definitely stay here again when I return to Berlin.

There was construction noise right above my room starting at 9 a.m., going on for hours — impossible to rest or relax. On top of that, an alarm kept ringing in my room for about 30 minutes, stopping and starting again like a fire alarm but apparently wasn’t. To make things worse, the phone in my room didn’t work, and there was no contact card with hotel numbers, so I couldn’t reach reception or room service. I even tried random numbers and accidentally called emergency! The bathroom phone also didn’t work — which is unsafe in case of an emergency. I sent my laundry before 9 a.m., and they only returned 2 out of 8 pieces. When I went to reception at 17:00 to complain, they said they’d fix it — but two hours later, still nothing. I had to go down again myself, and another receptionist finally found my laundry, claiming it had “no room number” (even though 2 pieces were delivered earlier?). By then I was tired, hungry, and frustrated, and still couldn’t order food because the phone was dead. The service was unhelpful, disorganized, and honestly unsafe. For a Hilton, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Would never recommend this property to anyone — terrible service, unreliable amenities, and zero communication.

The welcome we received was friendly even though it was late evening and when we arrived at our room we were blown away - a fabulous view of the Deutscher Dom and a sizeable room with a dressing area and more space than we imagined…. We felt really spoiled and this was further enhanced by a bottle of red and on my birthday a bottle of fizz, chocolates and grapes!! The bed was comfortable with fabulously luxurious bedding and had we not been there to sightsee we may have struggled to leave it 😊 The hotel sits just by the underground so it’s easy to access although nowhere seemed too far to walk 🚶 we did not eat in the hotel as we wanted to explore…. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back to see more of this amazing city - thank you
