Great location, metro outside, quiet, good clean rooms, breakfast was good. Service was always polite and pleasant in all sections, eg, reception, concierge, restaurant, etc. guys in concierge were always helpful. Atmosphere in lobby was pleasant. Breakfast room was large and great view across to the Dom opposite. Didnt like the €150 deposit. Hopefully it will Be returned as promised, if not will come back to rewrite this, hopefully don’t have to, as all other experience has been great.

I stayed at this hotel in June 2026. The hotel is nice overall however is in need of some TLC in some parts. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are especially luxurious. The bathrooms however are old, stained in places and in desperate need for renovation. Shower gell containers falling off the tiles, water seeping through the shower screen and black marks all over the tile grout from wear and tear. Even the shower controls were worn and difficult to use. The air-conditioning is inadequate albeit I visited during a heat wave where temps outside were around 31oC. The room air-conditioning was set to the lowest possible temperature on the highest fan speed and I would say the temperature in the room stayed static at around 24oC which was not ideal for me, I would have preferred much cooler. The whole hotel appears to struggle with heat as even the lobby and restaurant and communal areas were too warm. The breakfast was excellent and well worth the money. Lots of options, cooked and cold and plenty of comfortable seating. The lobby bar is ok however trying to get service is poor regardless of it being busy or quiet. For the price point and the brand notoriety I would say this hotel needs an uplift to maintain that value for money.

We stopped for a snack. Ordered two sodas and one chicken cesar salad. The restaurant was empty. Service was slow and poor. Sodas came in a bottle and we had to ask for ice. The salad was drenched in dressing and the chicken was tough as leather. This cost 34 euros. Ridiculous! And really unbelievably bad.

This is an impressive, grand hotel downtown. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The food is good if you eat here. All was good until I tried sleeping in my room. It was unbearably hot, even though the outside temperature was not excessive. The air-conditioning made a noise but clearly was not working. I set it to 18 degrees but the room stubbornly stayed at 30C. Having paid top dollar for this room and being in it for a few nights, I needed to be able to sleep well. Sadly when I asked the front desk to help me out, they said there was nothing they could do. What? Not even a drinks voucher at the bar for my significant discomfort? Maybe a couple of Honors points? Nope. Nothing at all, just shrugged shoulders and I just had to have two more nights of being so hot I couldn't sleep. REALLY unimpressed.

Excellent location to see the sites of Berlin. We were upgraded to a corner suite since it was our 40th anniversary and in addition to the beautiful suite, we received a lovely note, a bottle of champagne, and some chocolates in our room when we arrived. We loved the ease of being able to walk to many sites, restaurants and pubs in the area. We would definitely stay there again. The staff was very nice and attentive.
