With beautifully designed accommodations and a location within the famous Gendarmenmarkt, Hilton Berlin offers the perfect venue to begin your adventure in Germany's capital. A short drive from the city's two major airports, our hotel is within walking distance of Berlin's major attractions, like the French and German Cathedrals and the concert house.

The room was nice and clean. We have always loved this hotel but on this trip it didn’t go well due to construction on the floor above us. It was impossible to enjoy the room during the day. I guess no naps allowed in Hilton Berlin. On the positive side the staff was very apologetic but there was little they could do. The did comp me some drinks and gave me some Hilton points but I would rather of had a quiet room. They really should have informed us prior to check in.

We've been at this place several times because of the conveniently central location. It's noticeably declining because of being understaffed, yet overbooked. One in charge at a reception with appr. 20 guests waiting in line is a no no for a Hilton. Worst, tho, is the inept housekeeping. They speak neither English nor German and don't even understand that you need their help when you're crammed in your door with all your luggage. On a day when I was on a schedule, I left at 12:15, met a housekeeping supervisor who was capable of some German, and told her my romm #xxxxx could be cleaned now. Came back at 4pm to an uncleaned room. Complained at reception, was told to wait 30 minutes, room would be cleaned by then. Went back to a still not cleaned room. Talked to the hotel manager in charge who then arranged for a speedy cleanup. Total time from leaving to getting a clean room: 5 hours. My travel partner wished for more towels, was told someone was bringing them, yet nevet got them. Absolutely not Hilton standard. Good points for nice restaurant staff, good food and a super friendly concierge.

I have been a Diamond member for many years. The location is excellent and extremely convenient for business, which is why I stay here frequently. The Executive Lounge is also a great benefit. However, there is one important issue that guests should be aware of: avoid some of the rooms on the 6th floor. There appears to be a restaurant directly above them on the 7th floor, and the noise at night can be extremely disruptive. The constant sound of chairs being dragged across the floor continues for long periods, making it very difficult to relax or sleep. In my view, rooms affected by this level of noise should not be assigned to guests. Continuing to accommodate guests in these rooms falls short of the level of service one would expect from a hotel of this standard.

This hotel is in a great location on the former east side, within walking distance of many sights and near a metro U bahn station. The neighborhood is not crowded and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. They are renovating the rooms. The room I stayed in was large but a bit outdated. The bathroom was a bit of a challenge with the shower/tub requiring a large step up into it. It was concerning stepping out of it even though I have no mobility concerns. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel
