Hilton Berlin

First of all the hotel is in a fantastic location. If you're going for Xmas markets there is one literally right out the hotel front door. There's an underground stop outside and also a taxi rank which is brilliant. The service in the hotel was great. The bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and were good fun. We had one issue. We had a junior suite which had electrical problems in the bathroom and the air con in the room didn't work. It was really hot 🥵 The staff tried to fix it to no success and the final straw was when sparks started dropping from the ceiling. So on the evening of our final night we had to move room. Which was a pain in the backside. We got a free breakfast and €50 off our bill as compensation which was fair tbh. The breakfast was nice but there are loads of cheaper options within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Also don't forget about the city tax that gets added to your bill at the end of your stay. Overall great hotel, great staff. Brilliant location. Pity about the room.

Beautiful hotel, highly recommend. Delicious buffet breakfast which catered for all tastes. Christmas market 2 mins walk away, ideal location. Hotel provided Prosecco & cake surprise for birthday celebration, which was a wonderful gesture.

We were on a 3 night stay, and the hotel was very central and suited us fine. Great size room with all the usual facilities - although it was very hot . We were in room 5057 and the control for the air conditioning was missing. Excellent breakfast - just what you need before you explore the city . There is a metro entrance Stadmitte near the hotel - although we used the one around the corner. For the Christmas market there was one opposite the hotel by the Deutsche Dom . We bought a 4 day travel card which got us from the airport to the city and used for all our metro travel. The only issues we had were cold shower on the 2nd day ( reception said there were sorting the issue) and we found it difficult to get out of the bath - no handrail. Otherwise the hotel suited our needs for a City Break

It’s a nice hotel - standard Hilton but in a great location. Reception staff are as always only interested in Hilton membership guests although Johanna was delightful when we rang with an issue. Over priced small shop in reception area. Looks lovely on entry and if you want a 38 euro breakfast then this is the place! The Gendarmemmarkt is beautiful and we loved the Christmas market.

Really lovely clean hotel in a really good location in central Berlin. Easy walking distance to all major points of interest. We paid to have access to the executive lounge and found this to be a good move. There were lots of choices of drinks and snacks accompanied by lovely fresh salad. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing here after a busy day exploring. Breakfast was also really good with lots of varied choice and all to a high standard. The only real problem we had was hot water. You seriously had to run the tap for around ten minutes to hopefully get a hot shower. We managed two out of three days and had to settle for a lukewarm shower on our last day. You never get hot water to wash your hands at the sink! A bit disappointing and when we reported it to reception it felt like no one was interested. The bedroom was also quite cool and adjusting the thermostat made no difference. It’s a shame this took the shine off an otherwise lovely hotel.
