Hilton Berlin

Excellent stay. Received Diamond upgrade to a suite despite early checkin. Super clean, room and hotel. Executive lounge with access to full breakfast with Sekt and Bloody Mary. Very friendly service by Johanna at the reception. The location is perfect for exploring Berlin Mitte.

I have stayed here several times in the past. Service has been very good and they do have staff that can communicate in English. I must study up on my German. It is centrally located with many restaurants nearby to choose from and not too far from Checkpoint Charlie and shops. I always appreciate being able to see the churches and opera house across the street, it's a good place for photos and chocolate nearby.

While it was a nice hotel, when I checked in I was asked to pay a 150 euro deposit for a 3 day stay, I had no issue with this as I was told it would be released at the end of my stay, however this was back in July and it is now September and I’ve yet to get my money back. I called the hotel to inform them of this, and yet I still have not gotten my money back. I am very disappointed considering the Hilton is known to be kept to a high standard of professionalism yet they couldn’t get a simple transaction right.

Very Disappointing Stay - Well Below Hilton Standards - Multiple Hygiene & I am currently staying at this Hilton hotel and I have to say this has been one of the most miserable hotel experiences I have had. The number of problems in just 2 rooms is unacceptable for the Hilton brand. ROOM 1: I was first allocated a room where the bathroom ceiling had major water leak marks and damp patches. There was visible black mould growing on the bathroom ceiling and on the wall tiles and grouting [see photos/video]. The toilet was also not clean. This is a serious hygiene concern. I complained and a lovely lady called Elena at reception was very understanding and moved us the next morning. I appreciate her help. ROOM 2: Unfortunately, the second room was not much better. When I took a shower, water was dripping and pooling all over the bathroom floor. When I tried to brush my teeth, water was leaking from underneath the sink. Maintenance did come later to fix it, but it should have been checked before check-in. The toilet pot still has dirt marks in it and stains. Other issues in the second room: • Bedsheets were not clean • The lamp between the beds was broken • When I pulled out the desk chair, it was covered in dust and dirt. • General cleanliness in the corridors was also poor - empty wine bottles left next to the shoe polish machine for two days. The air conditioner makes noises and the maintenance guy then brought me a portable ac but o asked him to take it back as the room is small and no room for it. For the price Hilton charges, I expect basic cleanliness, maintenance, and hygiene to be guaranteed. I have photos and videos of everything mentioned. The maintenance gentleman were polite and tried to help, but the management needs to urgently address the mould, leaks, and cleaning standards in this hotel. This does not reflect Hilton's reputation at all. I would not recommend staying here until these issues are fixed. I hope the General Manager responds as I have requested since yesterday and I have not heard back from him.

I had an excellent stay at Hilton Berlin and truly enjoyed everything about the hotel. The breakfast buffet was one of my favorite highlights — there was a great variety of options and everything was delicious. I also loved the beautiful view of the Berlin Cathedral Dome right in front of the hotel. The location, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were wonderful. Hilton is definitely my favorite hotel brand, and this stay was another great experience. I highly recommend Hilton Berlin and would happily stay here again!
