Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin

Had a beautiful stay at Hotel Adlon Kempinski. The staff were truly outstanding — warm, attentive, and professional. The food, cocktails, and overall atmosphere were excellent. The only issue was the noise in our first-floor street-facing room, as the windows didn’t fully insulate. Still, a memorable experience. Would love to return, but in a quieter room next time.

I stayed three nights at the hotel. The first day I had to change rooms as the air conditioning wouldn’t go below 20 degrees. However, everything was sorted. The majority of the staff seam to enjoy there work but there were a few that looked unhappy. Breakfast was very good but I was told I had to turn up as ‘smart casual’. Each morning I wore Josef Seinel sandals worth over 100 euros and T-shirts worth between 100-200 euros. I ate twice in the brasserie and the food was good but surprisingly the menu stays the same for a whole season! Overall, I was very happy with my stay and I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Berlin. I also stayed one night at the hotel on June 6th, 2015 when I watched my team Barcelona in the evening win 3-1 at the Olympic stadium.

Exceptional visit the hotel staff go above and beyond. The service is first class. Cannot fault anything about our visit. Check in smooth and efficient location to transport is excellent along with being central to many visitors attractions.

As returning guests to the Hotel Adlon Kempinski, we had high expectations for our afternoon tea on 22 February. Unfortunately, this visit fell short. Despite noting my partner’s food allergies when booking, the only alternative offered to her was a basic fruit salad—an underwhelming and careless response we weren’t informed of in advance. A simple phone call could have clarified her dietary needs. The food itself was disappointing. The scones were dry and crumbly, possibly reheated in a microwave, and certainly not up to the standard expected at a five-star hotel. Service was friendly but inexperienced, and—as noted—communication about dietary accommodations was lacking throughout. We’ve enjoyed many teas in Berlin and abroad, including past visits to the Adlon, but this was our most disappointing experience. I wrote a formal letter of complaint to the hotel following our visit and, regrettably, never received a response. We hope management reviews its procedures to better meet guests' needs in future. Amazingly beautiful, luxurious, and friendly hotel. Nothing was too much for the incredible people who work at this hotel. Exceptional service in all areas-knowledgeable concierge with great recommendations, breakfast service (also looks after allergies), great spa. Rooms are marvelous. Great attention to detail in absolutely every area. Was also lucky enough to eat in the Michelin restaurant, and that memory will stay with me forever. I feel exceptionally privileged to have had the experience of staying here.
