The absolute worst experience. The absolute winner of the worst hotel you can imagine. Everything in this review has happened within the last half hour. We get here and check in. I need to pay a fee to get my mate a key. It’s fine. It’s 30 € for three nights. As I was told just for security they withdraw a 100€. They so far promise a return. I ask for a bottle of wine delivered to the room but the reception can’t do I need to call from the hotel room. So I go to the room. There’s no phone. And then the night stand falls out of the wall. At least we got the bathtub and the sofa we paid for. So I go to tell them that there’s no phone to order the wine and I tell them about the flaws. So I go the reception. You’ll have to guess which elevator that’ll take you to the reception because most of them take you to a construction side with no exit. Back up again. Then we get down graded to room with no sofa and no bathtub. Luckily the phone ain’t working and the light don’t turn on. So I go the construction side a couple of times until I get to the reception. Then I do a complain and a nice fella show me another room. Still a downgrade but everything works (I think). So he take me back the second room they showed us just the wrong one and get comanded to pick up someone else’s luggage. I insist that this is not my room and force him to the one I know it is. My mate is there so I’m quite sure. So we change room for the third time in 20 minutes. So I call for the wine. But the room service code is out of order so I get the receptionist I had meet quite a few times by now. When I call from the phone she would be happy to serve me. Anyway bathroom lock and ac isn’t working here either. Please reconsider.

Terrible experience and the hotel tried to bribe/blackmail me

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel had really bad issues that were reported on the first day of stay and not corrected or corrected to late. 1) this is my third day and hot water is not available. I had to take cold showers for 2 consecutive days so far. No solution so far. 2) my phone is not working, also reported this and took 2 days and 2 reports for the hotel to solve this. 3) wifi keeps disconnecting in my room, signal is low. 4) hotel is on renovations and access to the pool and gym is very inconvenient. The breakfast is ok, and rooms are ok, they look old but nothing memorable. I don’t recommend this hotel at all UPDATE 10-2-26 1) of the 5 day stay water was never hot, 2 day cold water and 2 day lukewarm closer to cold. I could never take a proper shower during my whole stay. 2) WiFi never worked correctly during the whole stay, it kept disconnecting. 3) room phone was fixed the 3rd day but no one called to apologize or offer any compensation by calling the room. 4) you never said in you letter left on the room the last day of my stay that the compensation offered (but not asked) had to be accepted or replied back to. No one asked me anything at checkout about this compensation, or verbally offered an apology. I will put a copy of it for all people that consider to stay in this hotel to make their own conclusions. Personally for me it felt both a bribe and black mail at the same time. “Dear Mr. Dyer, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your transparent feedback with us. We sincerely regret that we did not fully meet your expectations and that this impacted your overall experience. Due to current weather conditions, the hot water is not consistently reaching the desired temperature, and ongoing renovation works may also cause temporary limitations to the internet connection. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. As a gesture of goodwill, we would be happy to remove the breakfast charge from your bill in order to compensate for this shortcoming If you feel that our response and compensation address your concerns, we would kindly like to ask whether you would consider deleting your review. Thank you again and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with a flawless experience in the future when the Hotel is branded as the first german Vignette Hotel by IHG. Kind regards, Xxxxxx Director of Sales & Marketing”

Brilliant Bristol Hotel Berlin

I have just come back from this beautiful hotel it has had a major refurbishment since I last went about 15 months ago and wow its amazing all the rooms have been done it has a real modern look but it retains a lot of character.it is famous for its former cliente of Kennedy and che guvere stayed here along with aristocracy and royalty.it has amazing staff who welcome you like an old friend or family and nothing is a problem to them they are the ultimate professionals you would expect from a staff member at the Bristol but one stands out Johnny Oesterberg he is the resident bar staff and is such a lovely guy treats everybody the same whether your a local or a foreigner he has no boundaries and is exceptional at his job helping you with the drink you require or a drink he would suggested would suit .he is funny and quirky and you leave the Bristol remembering Johnny that's for sure I am back in December for the Xmas markets which are breathtaking I look forward to that and also to see Johnny westerners again Alan Cooke

No rest for the grilled…

Great staff who tried, as good as they could, to lower the temperature in our room. The room temperature was 24,5 celcius as we checked in and rose to 26. The windows open around 10 centimeters and allowed for no relief - the heat stayed. They were not allowed to open the main window for security reasons - not even if we deposited our keys as we left the room. They swapped our room for the one next door but the temperature was just as bad. For us it meant 2 really terrible nights of little sleep and as a result hereof no energi for exploring the city - our sole purpose. We were compensated with a free breakfast or 15% of the room rate. We would much rather have had some good night’s sleep. Without them we really did have a poor weekend. While the rooms are very nicely appointed and the staff nice (breakfast was so so - the 2 waitresses excellent though) we will definitely opt to stay elsewhere the next time…

Bad experience - not to be recommended

The hotel staff is very rude and not friendly. We had a voucher for 25 euros for food and drinks issued by Expedia. They not only “forgot” To mentioned it at check in but also didn’t have the courtesy to respect what Expedia app said. Ms Meng at the check in desk was the rudest of them all saying it was their mistake but that she didn’t care, said it was not important and doing nothing at all. These people would really benefit from some customer service classes. Room service was also a disaster. First day I ordered a breaded meat and potatoes. They brought the potatoes with onions (I’m allergic to onions), they not only didn’t check allergies but also didn’t care about it. Second they I ordered the same meal specifying that I didn’t want anything on the potatoes. They added black pepper and when I had to almost begged for him to take them back. Bad experiences in this place. Make sure you don’t go
