The Mandala Hotel

This was my first time at the Mandala, which I chose because of its location just off Potsdamerplatz, the historic centre of Berlin in the 1930s, sadly divided by the Wall from 1961 to 1990 but now with excellent public transport links. The service I received was impeccable, including being shown round my room upon arrival. Breakfasts were excellent with hot dishes cooked to order. I also took advantage of room service for one evening meal and this arrived quicker than the promised 20 minutes. The facilities in my room included a walk-in wardrobe and a kitchenette. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is my favorite hotel in the world. I do not enjoy speaking unfavorably about anything, but THE MANDALA is the best of the best in my hotel experiences throughout the world. In all of my activities in life, I prefer "understated and overproducing" to most of the world's "overstated and underproducing". Whenever I travel of Berlin, there is no need for me to consider any other hotel except THE MANDALA. The employees are pleasant, kind, gentle, knowledgable, intelligent, understanding, and well-spoken. These are intrinsic factors that cannot be bought, and every employee that I encountered have these qualities. Importantly, the hotel is clean, and exhibits a high-quality charm that one feels every day with every person. I needed to "get away from the world, and pray and contemplate family matters"......and this hotel and its employees allowed me that luxury. As an "old American hippie" that has experienced the world and its people, my generation has no difficulty in telling good people that "I love you" as well as others to "f--k off".......I love all the employees at THE MANDALA and they make my time there so pleasurable in interacting with them......to each area of the hotel and its respective staff, I am grateful to say "thank you" for your courtesies........I'll see you all again....

If you would like to spend a summer weekend in central Berlin in an opulent atmosphere, away from the crowds in the big chains hotels, and enjoy private attention and impeccable service, and spacious well-appointed rooms, go for the Mandala Hotel, and make sure you book their weekend rate, so the delightful weekend does not break the bank. And you may be luck to meet Arslanova Jasmina at the reception: She will miraculously check you in early and make sure your stay is comfortable with a charming accent.

Trendy and cool hotel, perfectly located for Berlin sightseeing. Excellent service and breakfast. Good underground parking facilities with direct access to the hotel.
