The hotel has an amazing location which is its main selling point, but the property is tired and in need of room renovations. There are really two experiences here and we had both. If you do not have Club access, expect long waits at breakfast and service that is hit and miss. Things change when upgrading to the Club Lounge where the service is 6 stars provided by incredible team members like Domenico. We would not stay here again as we generally try to avoid Marriott properties due to the LDS connection. Members of the LGBT community don't feel at home when opening a desk drawer and finding the Book of Mormon.

We loved our stay here. The room category we originally booked was not available and we ended up being significantly upgraded to the Carlton Club suite - a huge surprise! It was a very spacious suite with kitchentte, living room, dining room, and 1.5 bathrooms - we didnt want to leave! We loved that the included brekfast could be ordered to the room. The portions were huge and the food was all high quality and the drinks in the lounge were great. Service was very quick and attentive. I don’t think we waited more than 5 mins wheneve we asked for something. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Berlin and close to lots of transit and attractions. We liked that we were close and walkable to everything but that the hotel and the area was not overrun with other tourists.

We stayed on the 10th floor , with access to the Club Lounge. This is our third time here in 2 years - always on the Club floor. I have to say I'm not sure the lounge remodelling works, but everybody's taste is different! It did seem the lounge food options available had been reduced a little compared to our previous stays. However, all of the food provided was excellent. I would like to give a special shout out to Domenico and Gem from the Club lounge. Simply put, both are terrific assets to the hotel. Our only slight disappointment was that Guest Experiences didn't follow up with us on an issue, where hot food was severely delayed to the Club lounge on NYE - a delicate situation which Domenico managed very well. The gala party on NYE was great fun and very well organised. However I would recommend in future arm bands are provided previously to hotel residents attending, rather than being redirected to a queue of partygoer arrivals almost extending out the front door! All in all though, an amazing hotel and a pleasure to stay with once again.

I owe a small apology for the timing of this review, we departed on December 5th, and between the holidays and returning to normal life, it took me longer than intended to properly reflect on just how special this stay was. My fiancée and I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin from November 27 through December 5, and while the room and overall accommodations were excellent, what truly transformed our experience was the Club Lounge. It isn’t simply an amenity, it’s a hotel within a hotel, and one that completely changes how you experience your stay. The hotel itself is exceptionally well located. Berlin is an incredibly safe city, so that was never a concern, but the central location made navigating the entire city effortless. Whether walking or hopping on the U-Bahn or S-Bahn, getting anywhere was a piece of cake and made exploring the city feel seamless rather than planned or stressful. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and beautifully maintained, with large, luxurious bathrooms that are exactly what you want after a long day of walking the city. That said, while very comfortable, the room design itself felt a bit conservative. Given the stunning 1920s Art Deco style of the lobby, which is truly gorgeous, we half-expected that aesthetic to carry through a bit more into the rooms. In fairness, it is a hotel room, and it delivers on comfort and functionality extremely well, even if the design doesn’t quite match the drama of the public spaces. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the Club Lounge experience. It doesn’t feel transactional, it feels personal. The staff aren’t just people behind a desk, they become people you genuinely look forward to seeing in the morning and are excited to return to in the evening. That kind of connection is rare, and it’s what made this stay unforgettable. Domenico, Chaun, and especially Mandeep went above and beyond in every sense. Mandeep’s attention to detail was extraordinary, from remembering preferences to thoughtfully setting aside meals when our schedule ran late. Her warmth and care made us feel truly known and welcomed. Domenico and Chaun were equally wonderful, engaging, thoughtful, and full of great recommendations, with a genuine interest in making each day better than the last. Since returning home, we’ve talked often about how much we loved Berlin, the city, the history, and everything we experienced there. But surprisingly, what we miss most is the hotel itself, and the people who made it feel like home. That speaks volumes. The Club Lounge alone is worth the expense, and the experience this team creates is something truly special. This is hospitality at the highest level.

My wife and I have just returned from this marvelous hotel after spending 6 nights there over the Xmas period. We had a wonderful time and could not praise the hotel enough. Its location is very central with underground and overground train services just across the street and a taxi rank beside the hotel. The check-in with Magdalena on reception was excellent. She was very professional and quick and despite the busy time dealt with us perfectly. Our room was spacious and comfortable and was well looked after by housekeeping throughout. The beds and pillows were sooo... comfortable. We had breakfast every morning and to be honest it was a fantastic experience each morning. Lots of choice and a great variety for all tastes. The service staff were all very proficient, speedy and polite. A special mention to Rita and Hannah at the breakfast check in. they have the difficulty of finding tables and getting you seated each morning. This is a busy breakfast room and one thing we noticed was that it was never too warm and uncomfortable like some others we have been in. The Curtain Club bar is really very good and lively. There was quality entertainment each night with a really good atmosphere. A word of thanks to Paul the bar manager who made us very welcome. We didn't try the dining room but had afternoon tea on Xmas day in the lounge which was top quality and we were well looked after by Nikolai. A special word of thanks to Anthony the Bellboy, he and Magdalena were very helpful in giving us information about getting around the city and also about things in the hotel. Thankyou Anthony for your tip to visit the palace and the Zoo on our final day and your perfect directions. All in all the quality of the hotel and the excellent staff made our stay and we can't thank Ritz Carlton and the people of Berlin for giving us a wonderful Xmas.
