The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin

We were disappointed with our stay here. I wanted to celebrate my birthday in Berlin in a nice hotel but it was dissapointing for a 5 stars hotel. The room is ok, spacious and the bed is confortable. BUT: our room had a sink that wouldn't drain so we had to pulled out the stopper so it would drain, in the end we used one sink of two. This was not such a big problem, the big problem the clean service in the room. We mentioned 13 o'clock for cleaning on the note but, when we return in the room at 15 o'clock, no one cleaned the room so, what's the reason of mentioned a specific hour if no one cares? And the big "surprise": next day at 4 o'clock when we came back in the room, no one cleaned the room, we thought that is a mistake and left the room at 6 o'clock. When we returned at 23 o'clock, the trash was there, no one entered in the room altghough they mentioned on the door service turndown at 21, it was a lie. So we used wet towels, be careful with the toilet paper, washed our coffee cups, i cleaned even the sink myself etc. On my birthday i wanted to feel good but it was very disappointing!! We traveled a lot and never happened to find the room dirty when we came back. They pretend deposit 100 euro per day for guarantee, without tell us in advanced but they failed in guarantee a clean room. Not a five stars hotel in my opinion, we plan to return in Berlin but certainly not in this hotel.

Our stay at the The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin from March 5–7 was absolutely exceptional and one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. About a week before arrival, the hotel team reached out to ask how they could help elevate our stay. I mentioned that we were celebrating my husband’s early retirement and asked if a room upgrade might be possible since I am a Gold member and our booking was through the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection. Not only were our requests granted, but the team went far beyond our expectations. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a beautiful one bedroom suite, which was such a wonderful treat. Chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of red wine was waiting in our room with a personalized greeting card. Olivia Guest Experience Supervisor personalized all these for us. Having stayed at many 5 star hotels in the United States and internationally, we have rarely experienced this level of warmth and attention to detail. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and made us feel like true VIP guests. The suite was luxurious, spacious, and impeccably clean, and housekeeping did an outstanding job maintaining everything during our stay. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast at POTS, and it was honestly one of the best breakfast experiences we have had at any hotel. The selection was excellent, everything was fresh and beautifully presented, An à la cart menu is included in the buffet menu.. The service was just as warm and attentive as the rest of the hotel. We took advantage of the $100 property credit and invited friends who were traveling with us to the Curtain Club where there was live music. We ordered several cocktails and were pleasantly surprised that the prices were very reasonable for a 5 star hotel bar. The drinks even came with olives and cheese crackers, which was a lovely touch. I also had the chance to enjoy the pool and sauna area. While it is on the smaller side, it felt peaceful and relaxing, and I loved having a quiet moment to myself there. The location cannot be beat, right by the train station with easy access around Berlin and quick travel to the airport. Most importantly, the service throughout the hotel was truly outstanding. It’s clear that the staff take great pride in what they do, and their genuine hospitality made our celebration feel incredibly special. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team at the Ritz-Carlton Berlin for making our celebratory trip so memorable. It truly felt like a VIP experience from beginning to end, and we were honestly sad to leave. We truly look forward to returning and will gladly recommend the The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin to friends and family visiting Berlin

My stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin, just before Christmas, was perfect all around and once again absolutely met my expectations. I have been to this house several times before and when I entered the lobby I felt I had arrived in a quiet and elegant oasis centrally at Potsdamer Platz. The discreet and festive Christmas decorations have additionally provided a very special atmosphere. All public areas of the house made a very well maintained and exemplary clean impression.

The hotel is a 1 min walk from Potsdamer Platz railway/tube station and there is a direct train from the airport. It is well located for all the major sites which are a 15/20 min walk away or for those further away (East Side gallery) there are trains/tubes from Potsdamer Platz. Lots of coffee shops nearby if you do not want breakfast at the hotel. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and spotlessly clean. They are very comfortable and all the staff are excellent, efficient and welcoming. Nice diptyque amenities in the room. We had great cocktails in the bar and they had live music on Friday which was very good. An excellent choice in Berlin
