My husband and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. At every point of service we felt well taken care of and special. The front desk staff immediately greeted us with congratulatory champagne for our anniversary. We were given a lovely room with view over Potsdamer Platz as well as the champagne and cake in the room. This and all the little touches in our room started our evening off so well. The doormen were incredibly helpful when our Uber cancelled on us and asked the hotel's complimentary driver to take us to the Philharmonic for our concert that evening. Our visit to the hotel's wellness area was wonderful opportunity to relax. We enjoyed a morning swim and sauna before breakfast. The breakfast was high quality; one of best I have ever had at a hotel. There were a la carte egg dishes, pancakes, pad thai, and waffles as well as a buffet full of pastries, breads, fresh fruit, smoked fish and cold cuts. The restaurant staff were also very welcoming and friendly. The brunch was a great finish to a wonderful stay. If you want a luxury experience with highly personalized service, I highly recommend staying at the Ritz Carlton Berlin.

Excellent location, luxurious rooms and very gentle ambiance. We stayed for five days in an accessible room for my disabled mother .We were looked after properly .Breakfast is good variety ,tasty and plenty. Some times there is ques for breakfast but usually resolved quickly and efficiently. Many restaurants in the area although we have used their own restaurant POTS for good quality food and amazing afternoon tea. There was a problem at the check in but was dealt with swiftly and efficiently by management (Magdalena) who was so kind and professional to my mother’s needs and requests Staff are all excellent polite attentive and professional

My second stay here in several years. Meeting with friends. While the Ritz-Carlton sees itself and prices itself as one of the top hotels in Berlin, there are various "hard to describe" question marks here: the location (Potdamer Platz) still comes across as artificial and rootless (compared to Kudamm or even Mitte), just as the hotel does the clientele is a strange international mix and adds to the soullessness the drive-up is small and can be crammed and chaotic the service is mostly good and friendly, but in the restaurants/bars doesn't keep up with the price tag (especially for breakfast at €55) the interior design comes across as luxurious, but on closer examination, the furniture is often low quality the room infrastructure can be confusing, I didn't manage to close the "automatic" curtains and had a strong light beam illuminate my room from the outside all night. It took me quite some time to find the hairdryer and the power plugs in the bathroom. Not sure if the the AC and floor heating were following my digital instructions. pool and fitness room are small, dark and unworthy On the positive side: the cigar lounge the secret garden (when open) the walking distance to the Park (Tiergarten) and even the Brandenburg Gate

I tend to consider Ritz Carlton and Waldorf Astoria to be the best 2 hotels in Berlin, Kempinksi being too old and crowded. That being said, having stayed multiple times in both hotels, the Ritz has better service by a large margin, also a better breakfast, and better beds. Waldorf has a better spa (pool and sauna area) and more modern rooms. Waldorf also has a bit better location for shopping, being located right on the main shopping street. The breakfast was one of the very best I have ever had in any hotel. There was a great buffet and an a la carte to order eggs and desserts etc from. The staff was also extremely friendly, and even learned oir orders after the very first morning. They were one of the most genuine, happy and pleasant people I have ever met at restaurants. They seemed like they really enjoyed their work. The service as a whole was also one of the best I have ever faced at a larger hotel. The doormen learned our room number more quikcly than I did, and used our names everytime after oir check in. Just remarkable. The room was a bit old, and needs lift up soon, but it still showed that older charm in an elegant way. Some people (especially Americans) probably love it, but I tend to prefer more modern design. The spa was a bit uncozy, as it lacked the feeling of intimacy and quietness the best spas offer (Rosewood Munich for example). If there were other people, the noice fills the whole pool area. Also the lighting did not provide a ”soft” feeling. The ground was always wet from people swimming, something the best spas tend to clean every 10 minutes. I would definitely visit again!

We cannot recommend this hotel and staff highly enough. From the warm welcome at Reception (thank you to Constatin and Camile) to the housekeeping staff. All are extremely helpful and attentive. The wonderful room (1043) was spacious for more than 2 people and the furnishings in excellent condition. The bathroom is fully stocked with the amenities you might need and a generous supply of towels. There was a slight issue with the air conditioning in our room but once reported to reception an engineer attended within minutes - and managed to resolve the problem. Over breakfast when staff learned about my husband’s birthday they organised a couple of glasses of sparkling wine and a cake. If this treat were not enough, Constatin and the team arranged for a surprise cake and bottle of wine in our room. It is this wonderful attention to detail that sets this hotel and staff apart from many others we have visited. If there were a slight criticism it would be about the breakfast experience. There is an abundance of choice at the buffet and it is also possible to order food from a menu which includes a choice of eggs. Unfortunately it can take some time for your order to arrive (40 minutes for two fried eggs). This is the one and only area where this impeccable hotel could improve but one can see it is because they are trying to accommodate two concepts at the same time. Finally, mention must be made of the unsung heroes at the hotel entrance. The door greeting staff are cheerful, helpful and friendly. They are also problem solvers. Our huge thanks to Anthony who assisted us when our pre-booked taxi due to take us to the airport failed to materialise. The driver was lost. Undaunted, Anthony went to find the taxi driver and directed him to us at the hotel. In summary, this hotel clearly values its guests with staff playing their part in ensuring every encounter is memorable. We will definitely return 🤗❤️
