The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin

This was my second stay at this exceptional hotel. I will be back. Attention to detail is the mark of service quality here. I had a club room which was well worth the extra cost. The club staff were helpful, attentive and professional - I was remembered from my staff a whole year ago - well done team! The rooms are beautiful and very clean.

Staying here for the NYE week and right at Potsdamer Platz, you can feel the festive atmosphere as the xmas market is still on. The Mall of berlin is also right next to it Check in was great and they even upgraded me as i’m Ambassador member (not every country do this) The suite is very nice with grand but modern touches - electronic curtains etc. And Diptique toiletries Gym is smallish but ok for my needs Breakfast restaurant good and wrote a seperate review 9/10

This is a lovely hotel right outside Potsdamer Platz which means you are close enough to walk (should you wish to) around the city to see the sights and the Christmas Markets. You are welcomed with a glass of fizz as you check in and the staff are welcoming and helpful. We were here on an Amex fine stay and it was well worth it, with breakfast included and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a wonderful suite. We had breakfast both days in our room as the hotel was busy and we wanted it at busy times. Breakfast included your room I think is a real treat and we enjoyed everything we had. Only negative was that you could not get into the bar for drinks in the evening as there is only one open. Really not good enough on a Saturday night at Christmas so had to go to the room and order room service. Not marked down the stay as it was one night and room service was friendly and prompt!

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 day visit for my birthday. The hotel staff were very welcoming and our room was available when we arrived , an hour before check in time. We had a lovely deluxe room on the 8th floor , serviced by very efficient lifts . The mini bar area was stocked with everything that could be needed , obviously at a price , but still very impressive. For my birthday I received a complementary bottle of sparkling wine and a cake on an iced board with best wishes. A very nice touch. The large Christmas tree in the foyer complete with lights on the staircase were lovely to see . The location of the hotel on Potsdamer Plaza was superb, with a Christmas market opposite , and plenty of restaurants and cafes . Also within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to see . We would certainly highly recommend staying here .

Very disappointed for the second night as a guest that we are not easily able to get a seat in the bar. We are yet again left waiting in a seated area outside the barbut unable to get a drink due to lack of staff. Concierge service is lacking too. Very disappointed as this used to be a great hotel.
