I stayed at the Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills for a business trip and had a fantastic experience. My room was in the Beverly Building, directly across the street from the main hotel, and I actually loved being over there. It was incredibly quiet and almost felt like staying in your own private residence rather than a hotel. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower and amenities were excellent. The restaurant was wonderful as well. My only small piece of feedback would be that I wish breakfast opened at 6:00 AM instead of 7:00 AM, especially for business travelers with early mornings. The gym isn’t huge, but they’ve done a really smart job with the space. Everything felt new and high quality, including a beautiful Peloton treadmill, another treadmill, rowing machine, and everything you really need for a good workout. The staff was excellent throughout my stay, and the Beverly Hills location is hard to beat. Overall, an easy five-star stay. I was here for business, but I would absolutely come back for leisure — and next time hopefully have enough time to actually relax by the pool. Highly recommend the Avalon for anyone staying in Beverly Hills.

I loved this little gem of a hotel. It's in a quiet part of Beverly Hills. I really enjoyed the smallness of the hotel. It made it feel more personal. It was not part of a large facility which was a plus for me. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I didn't use the pool but it looked very inviting. I loved being able to sit out in the pool area and enjoy breakfast. My room was lovely. I had a suite with a king size bed and sofa bed. It also included a small kitchen area. I was across the street in the other building which at first concerned me. However, it was not a busy street and easy to cross. I was here to visit my son who lives nearby. It was easy for him to park on the side street (Canon). Also easy to pick me up or drop me off. He didn't have to hassle with valet parking like he would have at a larger property. I will definitely stay here again when I visit my son again.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. I booked Avalon based on the photos and description online. For nearly $500 per night, I expected the beautiful boutique hotel that was advertised. Instead, after check-in, we were taken to a completely separate building across the street that looked nothing like the property shown in the photos. It felt more like an old apartment building converted into a motel. The room contained little more than a bed, a nightstand, and a TV. It was completely different from what had been advertised. We immediately returned to the front desk and refused to stay. We left and booked another hotel that same night. When I requested a refund, I was denied. As a result, we lost $500 for a room we never even stayed in. Afterward, I found numerous guest complaints describing experiences similar to ours. What surprised me even more was seeing negative reviews followed by dozens of perfect 10/10 ratings, which raises serious questions. This experience felt misleading from start to finish. Guests should receive the hotel they were shown and paid for, not a completely different building across the street. What is especially disappointing is that these complaints are clearly not new, yet nothing seems to change. The hotel appears fully aware of these recurring issues but makes no meaningful effort to resolve them or accommodate affected guests.

I chose this hotel, shockingly, not because I was aiming for a Beverly Hills location but more so proximity to the client, I was there to visit. This hotel was the nearest and, alas, I landed here. Work trips are not the same as personal trips so I could not relax and enjoy as much as I would on my own time, but I am forcing myself to write a review (don't usually) because I really want to highlight that the service at this hotel is outstanding. I was in and out all day, all hours, and every single staff member was SO welcoming, so warm, so pleasant and helpful. I feel like service has really lagged worldwide in the last few years and I absolutely noticed the difference here. I don't know if the Avalon is just hiring well or training well or, as I suspect, a blend of both: But this is an a-class team and I really appreciated it. Also: the hotel is great. I wished I could have hung at the pool beyond a quick bite but that whole space was great, my room was immaculate and MCM vibes with a pretty patio, and the neighborhood felt safe. Hoping to come back on my own time. Thanks, Avalon.

This hotel is perfectly located in Beverly Hills, with a pleasant and very safe 10 to 15 minute walk to the heart of Beverly Hills. The hotel itself is much smaller than it appears in the photos, but that actually adds to its charm. It feels like staying in an old apartment building for Hollywood stars, which fittingly was its original purpose back in the 1940s. The rooms are excellent in terms of both size and amenities, and the included tea and coffee at breakfast is a really appreciated touch. What truly makes this hotel stand out is its atmosphere. The design carefully respects the building’s original legacy, making it feel full of character rather than just another soulless chain hotel.
