Reviews for Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel

This would not happen to Richard Gere

This hotel was my wife’s dream destination because of the film Pretty women. But it turn out to be no so pretty. We had been away for a month in Tahiti and Bora Bora and to fly back to the UK we had a stop over in LA so as a surprise for my wife I booked the Beverly Wiltshire. We arrived 17th March in the morning with friends. There room was ready but our room we booked was not and we would have to wait until 3pm or we could upgrade to a suite for $250. We did not upgrade but excepted a room with two beds rather than Signature king size room. The front desk lady was not the most help and she had just been very sarcastic to a previous customer who had been asking for the last two days for bottled water in her room and not cans. The room was okay but not what we had booked. That evening we ask the concierge to recommend a rib restaurant and he recommended the Saddle room with I must say was really good. The problem was that he said the hotel car would take us and bring us back, on the way there the driver gave us a card and said to ring the number when we wanted picking up. It was a complete surprise at the end of the evening when I called only to be told that they could not pick us up. I ask the concierge the next morning about this and he said he would look into it and get back to me, no reply as yet. We checked out 18th and left for the airport at 6pm, in the taxi I realised I had left some medication in the fridge in the room, so I called the hotel at 6.20pm and ask if they could have a look and send it to the airport in a taxi. I was told that they would call back in 10 minutes and let me know. The call came at 10.20 just as I was boarding the plane, they had the medication and did I want to collect it! Very disappointed in the whole experience, not what I expected.

Clean spaces with excellent service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Here’s a tightened, polished version of your review — direct, clear, and balanced: I stayed for six nights in late February/early March for business in the older tower (Room 805). The room was spacious and well-appointed, with high ceilings, great natural light, a massive bathroom, and an excellent oversized desk that made working easy. It was also surprisingly quiet. I was able to request a monitor to connect to my laptop, and service throughout the stay was consistently strong. Alex at the front desk — who has been with the hotel for 13 years — was especially helpful at check-in and took care in helping me select the right room. The facilities could use updating, as others have noted, but there’s something genuinely charming about the 80s/90s finishes. It feels nostalgic rather than tired. The gym equipment was clean and well maintained, and the hot tub worked well, though both the pool and hot tub are quite small. I’ve previously stayed in the newer tower and found those bathrooms comparatively small and lacking a sense of expanse. I strongly preferred the older tower; it felt more generous and made it easier to take advantage of the hotel’s amenities. The valet system between the two buildings is seamless, and the staff were quick to bring up a refrigerator and other items I needed during my stay. Overall, a comfortable and highly functional stay for business — especially in the older tower.

Had the Most Wonderful Time.

We had the most wonderful time at the Beverly Wilshire. My husband, teenage son, and I stayed there for a long weekend. We had many purposes of the trip--visiting friends and seeing colleges among them--and the staff was outstanding. They upgraded our room when we checked in. Everyone seemed to remember our names wherever we went and we were treated so nicely. The rooms were gorgeous and the location couldn't be better. I'd give it ten stars if I could. Thank you!

Iconic Rodeo drive hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel is located right on the iconic Rodeo Drive, within easy walking distance of all the high-end boutiques and restaurants in the area. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, always focused on guest comfort. There was an issue with the elevator for two days, and the team made every effort to accommodate guests during this time. As I was on the fifth floor, I used the stairs when needed. Our initial room was on the tenth floor and featured a large balcony. It was a beautiful space, offering lovely city views at night and during sunrise. Unfortunately, there was consistent elevator noise in that room, both day and night. The staff responded promptly and arranged an alternative room, even offering an upgrade. The new room was on the fifth floor; while comfortable, it did not include a balcony. We had breakfast every morning. Room service breakfast had a wait time of approximately 45 minutes, so I would recommend placing the order at least an hour in advance. I preferred the in-room breakfast menu, as the restaurant offered more limited options. The fresh orange juice is a must-try. The avocado toast was excellent, while the French toast was ok. The spa is a must-try. I had a rejuvenating facial and used the steam room beforehand as recommended by the spa staff. The products used left my skin glowing and significantly improved my dry skin. I also had my hair and makeup done—both artists were highly creative, attentive, and open to adjustments, ensuring I was completely happy with the final look. The pool area is very quiet and relaxing. If you are visiting Los Angeles for the Grammys, this is an excellent hotel choice.
