This is a beautiful-looking Hotel, and they have entertainment on some nights. The staff are well-trained and very helpful. The rooms and beds are excellent. And the location is great, straight across the road from a Macy's, Bloomingdale's in a small fashion-based shopping centre. So what's the issue? - The Breakfast is a Bad joke! They have two menus ( No Buffet), one for the people who want to pay US$75 per person for an à la carte, very low-choice menu. Or an even less choice hopeless menu for the people who were dumb enough to either add breakfast to the room rate when booking (that's me) or Accor club members (I'm Diamond) who think breakfast is free. !1 Aren't they clever! YES 2 different Breakfast à la carte menus !! One for those who will pay through the nose for an egg or those who think that ACCOR membership includes Breakfast. LOL LOL Would I stay again ?? NO, so many better options in LA for the price. Some would suggest this is dishonest or at least disrespectful policy. This SOFITEL is simply no longer value. It's issues like this that make me stop and wonder why I would rejoin ACCOR!??
