Warm welcome by the staff at front desk upon check in and gifted us a cute WA teddy bear. Room upgrade at a cost but it was well worth it. We got the Hollywood suite with terrace on the top floor and it was gorgeous! Powder room with separate shower beside the master bathroom - so we get our own space and won’t fight for shower or toilet time lol absolutely perfect for us. Room service was always on time. Breakfast was at the restaurant across the hall from the lobby and service was great and breakfast was pricey yet yummy. We had lunch at the rooftop restaurant and view was nice especially when we had a good weather that day. Housekeeping lady did her best to tidy a big room like ours on her own, so it took a little longer than expected for her to finish the job. But I don’t blame her. I wonder if there’s a lack of staff for housekeeping as it took quite awhile to have a lady come to tidy up. Also no turn down service at all during our stay - I am not sure if you need to request one particularly for WABV but I normally only need to inform housekeeping if I don’t want turn down service. I have always liked turn down service to get it all prepared for my bed time at night. There is a construction site (I believe it’s the new Aman site) beside the hotel but we didn’t hear any noise during the day. Which is great.

After more then 20 years of media business in this city I saw so many hotels - from the Peninsula to the Beverly Hilton, but the Waldorf is setting new standards - even the regular rooms are coming with a nice size, you should look for the upper floors. But what the Waldorf is offering in service, friendlyness and hospitality is impressive - everything works in the this hotel. The view from the roof garden is lovely (sometimes the music is much too loud), and a swim in the pool gives you an infinity feeling above LA. One of the best Hilton properties.

Stayed here 3 years ago and was a little disappointed, returned very recently and was very satisfied with my stay this time around. David at the concierge desk was a star and a big reason why this stay was amazing and true to the WA standards. This time, I did not have to "fight" and pay for an upgrade as a Diamond member to a room facing north. Check-in was relatively fast (although I was told to sit down at the table by a doorman which then led to a bunch of guests walking up and cutting me in line). The room was fantastic like before and the chaise lounger is still the most comfortable one I've ever lounged in. I will say, the bathroom amenities were lacking and i wish they had like toothbrushes, razors, etc. in case you need it. Also for whatever reason, despite no privacy light on, we had no turndown service which was odd. House car service was great and David actually called to confirm our need to use it and destination, A++ Service/food at the rooftop bar/restaurant was great, although prices were a bit extreme....granted you're paying for the atmosphere and view as well. Pool was great and the guy & girl working there President's Day were super friendly and attentive when needed, we basically had the pool to ourselves the entire morning. Gym was also nice, although honestly could be slightly bigger. Had a miscellaneous minibar charge post to my credit card after checkout, but the front desk was able to rectify that once they saw it was erroneous.

Plenty of other options in Beverly Hills, take one of them, you’ll be glad you did. This place has no business having the Waldorf name attached to it, except the pricing. The food options are horrible. The housekeeping is minimal. The room service is the worst I've ever experienced. Day 1 room service: I received a completely different order than what I placed. Upon delivery, I was told that was their “interpretation” of what I ordered? ROFL what? It was a completely different food item. Day 2 room service: Never came. It was ordered and CONFIRMED through the app the night before. I called down they had no idea what they were doing. After placing the order with 3 different people, it finally came. It came cold and undercooked. Yet, I was still charged for both days. Had to call to get housekeeping several times to come. 1 dining option in the hotel. Unless you want to sit on the roof in December and freeze, you’re out of luck. Waited until the last possible second to check us in. Claimed no rooms ready, even though the hotel was at 30% capacity. Asked for someone from Management to contact us twice already, no response. If you look at some of the other recent reviews, nobody has bothered to respond to any of them either. Even a Holiday Inn property responds to customers. Not even the canned “we’re sorry, like to have you back” ridiculous response you see all the time. Stay FAR AWAY from this property. Its a disaster and a rip off!

Flashing light in eyes. Management did nothing to remedy. Asked for an additional $800 so I could get proper sleep despite being a member and paying over 60k worth of hotel stays at the property. Both people helping me had an Attitude and did not care about guests well-being.
