Reviews for Hotel Du Palais Biarritz

The Palace of Biarritz

The Hotel du Palais is an extraordinary property, expertly run and maintained. It is a special place, which I would recommend without hesitation. The entire staff was exceptional, and all were very kind and caring with my dog. This was my first visit to Biarritz, which I found charming. The restaurants were terrific, the people helpful and pleasant, and you can walk everywhere!

Nice resort property

We spent 5 nights at this Hyatt branded hotel in June. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Location: The hotel is walking distance to the main sections of Biarritz. Property: The grounds are beautiful. Check-in/Reception: Our rooms were ready by check-in time. The process was smooth and easy. Staff: Everyone was very friendly and attentive to us. They tried very hard over my stay to make the Chromecast work in my room. Nesma and Emma were amazing. Rooms: We had 2 Deluxe Ocean Rooms and 1 Junior Suite City View. The rooms were nice but they are all somewhat different so it's hard to know what you will get. The Jr. Suite is above the Deluxe room, yet the Deluxe bathroom was much larger the the Jr. bathrooms and included bathtubs. The shower was small and felt like a plastic inset so easy to slip when soap was on the floor. The room stayed cool despite the summer heat, but the blackout shades let in a lot of light so it was hard to sleep after sunrise. Food/Room Service: The food at the hotel was all good. We ate in the restaurant and bar a couple times during our stay. We had breakfast delivered to the room and it arrived quick and hot. Pool: They have a large pool overlooking the ocean which is lovely and surrounded on one side by many cabanas. The cabanas are nice with their own private bathrooms. The only issue is they get very hot with no air circulating in them so fans would make a big difference. The pool is also extremely warm and felt closer to a hot tub. They have an ice cream shop on property near the pool which the kids loved. Spa/Gym: They have a gym and a spa but I didn't visit them on this trip. We would stay here again on another trip.

Well worth the expense!

Beautiful hotel located in the absolute perfect spot in beautiful quaint Biarritz . The staff, rooms, restaurant, view, pool were amazing. I considered staying somewhere less expensive but honestly if you have the opportunity to visit Biarritz, which I highly recommend, this is THE place to stay

Spend your money wisely on an EXPERIENCE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

If you have an opportunity to stay at Hotel du Palais, do NOT let the price of rooms discourage you. I typically would not spend quite that much as I feel that there are a number of other hotels in the area and I would rather spend my money on other experiences. However, Hotel du Palais WAS an experience. The rooms and the service are beyond expectations. The staff could not be more accommodating at every moment of each day. The FULL breakfast was included in our stay and we probably saved tremendously on meals since we were always so full from breakfast. Drinks are pricey there, but it is easy to walk somewhere else for drinks. The pool is incredible and the views are spectacular. We attended a wedding and I have never been to such an extraordinary event in my life. Hotel du Palais did not disappoint on any detail.
