Hotel Du Palais Biarritz

We had a fantastic stay at Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz. The setting right on the ocean is incredible, and the hotel really lives up to its “palace” name — beautiful, historic, and elegant without feeling overly formal. What stood out most was the service. Everyone was warm and attentive, and Nesma at reception was especially wonderful — welcoming, helpful, and made everything feel effortless from the moment we arrived. The restaurant staff were also incredibly accommodating and made dining there easy and enjoyable. Overall, a truly special hotel and one we’d absolutely come back to.

Each time we stay here, we enjoy top service and luxury. The room and hotel facilities are always spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with fresh flowers, no matter what the season. The staff always welcome us with warm smiles and they make us feel like family. We enjoy the bar and salon for drinks or snacks, during the day or late after dinner. We enjoy knowing a lot of the staff by name after several visits, and we always look forward to the next visit. The handicap accessible rooms are well equipped for our needs and we appreciate that everything in the hotel is wheelchair accessible, including the beautiful gardens.

Our three nights at the Hotel du Palais were exceptional in every way. We cannot recommend this experience highly enough. If you can get a room with ocean view go for it! We have been to Biarritz on a number on a number of occasions but this was our first time in this hotel. It was throughly enjoyable from beginning to end.

I have stayed at many luxurious, top-tier hotels, and this one easily ranks among the very best I have experienced to date. The location and the building itself are superb. Truly beautiful and picture-perfect in every sense. However, what makes me write this review... something I'm not naturally inclined to do... is to leave a record of the outstanding quality of the service. The team attending the breakfast area were exceptionally kind, attentive and gracious in the care they showed us, making each breakfast experience a real pleasure. (We dealt with 4-5 different people, and they were all equally nice, attentive and professional.) Equally deserving of praise are the front desk staff we interacted with during our stay. From Ms. Amandine, who took such wonderful care of us upon our arrival, to everyone else we encountered, all were consistently welcoming, helpful and professional, setting the tone from the very first moment. We couldn't be more happy and grateful, thanks for a wonderful stay!

It was our third stay at this hotel, and once again everything was absolutely wonderful. We arrived without a prior reservation, yet Álvaro at the reception kindly assisted us and found the perfect rooms for our needs. His professionalism, warmth, and attention made us feel welcome from the very first moment. Thank you for such excellent service — we truly appreciated it and will definitely come back!
