We had a lovely experience at The Montage! The property is stunning, the service was excellent, and the food at Cortina was delicious. The highlight of our stay was at the Spa. My masseuse, Shaka, delivered an unforgettable massage. Every movement done with intent and pressure. Spectacular.

It’s hard to know where to start. This hotel is worth the money in every aspect. The dinner we had at the hotel restaurant, Cortina, was spectacular!

Almost every interaction resulted in service problems. Bellman brought someone else's bag to my room. Said he would bring it back down but forgot and it was still there 40 minutes later (feel sorry for person who didn't get it). Also said he would order extra hangar and mini refrigerator for room but didn't (despite a $60 tip for bringing two bags up. called Room service who brought hangars and mini and he said he would bring ice bucket but didn't. Two guys who worked at ski concierge couldn't answer basic question--do you tune/wax snowboards? Finally went inside and found John who does (and did a great job). Asked the woman behind counter in ski concierge if they stored boots overnight and had boot driers--another blank look (and she was sitting right outside room where boot storage takes place. A full hour wait after appetizers to get our pasta dishes--despite being told many times it was being plated (and it never really was). On the slopes from 8:30 am to 4 pm and room wasn't cleaned despite "Make up Room" light being on. On check out we waited 20 minutes for bellman to come to room and get bags and finally gave up and carried bags down ourselves. Every time we called concierge, in-room dining, bellman etc it rang and rang until finally a hotel operator answered. Positives: great massage from Shaka, John the Board tuner, Harry our waiter at Cortina tried hard, June the room manager tried to turn things around. Property itself and location cannot be beat. VERY EXPENSIVE GIVEN SERVICE LEVEL BEING SO LOW! POOR VALUE PROPOSITION.

When I arrived at the area called The Compass in the Montage resort I was greeted by a friendly staff member who guided me to the boot and ski fitting area. They don’t subscribe to the usual Take a seat and we’ll be with you shortly. From the minute we sat down the staff was taking care of our needs. They fitted my daughter and I with a very nice set of boots and skis, then directed us to a locker where we can keep our valuables. When we were ready to ski, there was another attentive staff member outside with our skis set up in the snow so we’re ready to just step in and go. Upon having a great time on the mountain and returning the staff member was there again to welcome us back to take our skis while we enjoyed lunch. I cannot emphasize how impressed I am by not only the quality of service, but also the level of equipment and the attentiveness of each and every person in that department. These are the reasons it’s not hard to see why the montage is truly a memorable experience.

Our children treated us to a couple’s massage while we were vacationing as a family in Bug Sky!! The whole experience at the property was wonderful. We were pampered from the moment we arrived. The facility is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub after our treatment. The main star of the show though were our massage therapists, Sarah and Celena. They were so skilled and worked out all our kinks. We were floating when we left!! These ladies were the best!!
