Amazing experience! The property, location, overall vibe was 10/10! Everyone was so friendly. It was so relaxing and luxurious. We can’t wait to return!

Paying world class rates without the world class service
Alila Ventana Big Sur is a beautiful venue. I would give this place 5 stars except for the fact that the nightly rate they charge places them in the top 1% of world class hotels. As such you would expect absolute world class service, right? The fact was that they didn't coordinate our booking properly, and we were asked to clean out our room when we still have a day left on our reservation. Also, they promised a fully stacked bar and treats in the room. We were provided a nice amenity, chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of "Elixir" with two nice glasses to drink them from, but the glasses were removed the first morning we were there? We asked to have them brought back and for the bar to get stocked as promised but that never happened. We have stayed at some competitive hotels that deliver on their promises, but not Alila. Normally I probably wouldn't even complain about this stuff, but c'mon, wouldn't you expect better?

Super overrated. Rooms are nice for US standards. Food is bad, quality is roughly a TGI Fridays with nicer presentation.

The Best Honeymoon
Alila Ventana was an incredible experience. It felt like the staff was able to anticipate what my wife and I wanted before we even knew. The room was incredibly clean and had many amenities. Every night we were able to have a fire in the fireplace as we laid in bed or watched tv. We had a great experience with the coast ridge hike and were able to connect with other couples also participating. One highlight was the text concierge service. It felt anything we wanted, especially shuttle rides to the restaurant, which had delicious three course dinners, were just a text away. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful, relaxing resort! The spa was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed some beautiful hikes around the property and within close proximity.

Ventana was the perfect spot...this resort is easily one of the most romantic places in Big Sur. The on-site spa is relaxing and comforting - everyone is knowledgeable, skilled and highly professional. Ventana is luxurious, romantic and fun. We'll be back!
