Staying at The Artist – Grand Hotel of Art is entering the home of the artist. In a place that pays homage, more than to its works, to its awake, restless, and nonconformist spirit. The Artist – Grand Hotel of Art appeals to the sensibility of its guests; to feel creativity, passion for details, curiosity for flavours, and the desire to live new experiences.
In the heart of Bilbao’s artistic district, facing the Guggenheim Museum and just 500 meters from the Museum of Fine Arts, The Artist – Grand Hotel of Art stands as another protagonist of the city’s cultural and artistic life. Both for its guests and its inhabitants. Its location makes us one of the best options to explore the city. The historic center, the Hanging Bridge “Puente Colgante”, the Ribera Market, the Azkuna Center… The distance to Bilbao Airport via the “Salve” Bridge, as well as the access to the highway, quick and agile, offer unique possibilities to explore the Basque Coast; enjoy hiking, nature, culture, surfing, gastronomy, wineries, and vineyards.

Lovely hotel across Guggenheim Museum and at the center of all action ( cafes, restaurants, shops) The rooms are large, the hotel has an excellent terrace, very helpful staff. Loved it

The Artist Grand is in a perfect location for accessing all of Bilbao’s delights. Obviously could not be closer to the Guggenheim but also walking to the old town is easy and delightful. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful - taking care of parking our car was a big relief. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The rooftop bar provided spectacular views. Recommend this hotel for a Bilbao visit!

A delightful evening spent watching the clouds over the Guggenheim changing colour as the sun set, with a glass of Cava and a bit to eat. Excellent service, food and wine,. Most memorable. Don't forget to check out the artwork, especially the clock in the hotel lobby.

Fantastic hotel! Quiet interior room on the 5th floor. Breakfast every morning on the 7th Floor terrace. Ate a couple of meals at the restaurant on the ground floor. All the food was very delicious and the staff was genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome. The best location in Bilbao for visiting the Guggenheim Museum. We were there when it had the excellent Ruth Asawa retrospective. Recommend the funicular and the restaurant at the top (turn right after exiting funicular at the top and short walk up hill to the restaurant on the right - busy place with excellent pinxtos.
