Excellent hotel
Location location location!! Lots of places within easy walking distance to visit. The room was spotless clean. I thought it was pleasantly quiet here. We were exhausted and ordered room service for dinner. The smash burger was the absolute best I think I have ever eaten!! We used the shuttle service to the airport and it was on time and very nice both ways.

great historic hotel
I really like historic hotels and definitely appreciated the Northern. The lobby is beautiful. They gave me a room on the 10th floor with a view. As I prefer high floor rooms I appreciated this. The furnishings were nice and I slept really well in the bed. My room was very clean. The front desk were all very friendly and efficient. It's in a great location in downtown Billings. I wish I had had the time to check out the restaurants, but hopefully I will return one day.

Top notch experience
A restored, old-fashioned hotel, very comfortable rooms, free parking and very pleasant staff. Breakfast is not free, the breakfast spot at the hotel is excellent. The restaurant is to die for, fantastic food, and very reasonably priced for an elegant restaurant. We will stay there again.

Luxury without the high price tag.
What a delight of an old hotel in Billings! Even though it gave off the flare of a 100 year old distinguished hotel, the rooms were beautiful and redone! The beds were very comfortable, the room clean, the atmosphere quiet. We were there on a very busy weekend, the 150 th celebration of the Little Bighorn Battle. On our way to the battlefield, we blew a head gasket and had to return to Billings instead of continuing our trip. The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us! The price point was very good as well. We’d stay there again if in Billings!

Great Place
I stayed at the hotel earlier this month and found it a great place to stay. The rooms are nicely appointed and spotless (kudos to the housekeeping staff). One aspect that really stands out is how friendly and helpful the people were. One note: if you wish to have a refrigerator in the room, they will provide one on request. Adding to the aforementioned are the two excellent restaurants in the hotel: Bernie’s for breakfast and lunch (a must for breakfast) and Ten at the Northern. Both had excellent food with Bernie’s standing out for that and the servers. If you’re in Billings this is a great choice for your accommodations.
