Reviews for Northern Hotel

You will have to take the good with the bad

Check in was easy and efficient- beautiful room and hotel. We looked forward to our stay! The street noise was absolutely dreadful. Trucks, cars, motorcycles racing down the streets all night. Not much sleep. Early morning wake up to the fire alarm and recording to evacuate. Without going into detail, incident was taken care of by the fire department. One would think hotel would be more apologetic offering some sort of compensation, etc, as incident was real and scary that early in the morning. Not quite sure I will stay there again because of the late night drag racing.

Service with a smile

The staff at the Northern Hotel are so friendly and accommodating. Everyone had a smile and a greetings ng for us— from the ladies at the front desk to the maid up on our floor. Rooms were very clean. And quiet.

Great hotel!

Stayed for one night during an extended road trip. Best mid-level hotel I’ve stayed in. Very clean, friendly staff, rooms nicely appointed and felt like new, comfy bed, lots of pillows. The breakfast was wonderful - real eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, waffles… on and on.

Excellent hotel

Location location location!! Lots of places within easy walking distance to visit. The room was spotless clean. I thought it was pleasantly quiet here. We were exhausted and ordered room service for dinner. The smash burger was the absolute best I think I have ever eaten!! We used the shuttle service to the airport and it was on time and very nice both ways.

great historic hotel

I really like historic hotels and definitely appreciated the Northern. The lobby is beautiful. They gave me a room on the 10th floor with a view. As I prefer high floor rooms I appreciated this. The furnishings were nice and I slept really well in the bed. My room was very clean. The front desk were all very friendly and efficient. It's in a great location in downtown Billings. I wish I had had the time to check out the restaurants, but hopefully I will return one day.
