Bit pricey, but it is very convenient for the city and tram. Nice pool and spa, one or two areas in need of a bit of a clean/maintenance, but nothing to put you off staying, and overall, pretty decent. Staff were friendly and helpful during my limited interactions with them. Room and bathroom were fine, a bit on the warm side, but fine... apart from the lack of cold water. Both taps seemed to be hot, and this also meant there was no temperature control in the shower. The main drawback however is that it does feel slightly dated, like a lot of American hotels do, maybe it's deliberate as an American chain, but I feel it would benefit from a bit of modernising and updating. I stayed in April, but it's the kind of place I imagine wouldn't have air con, or if it did, it wouldn't be very effective in the height of summer.

Great hotel, lovely spacious room and bathroom with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The best part however was the breakfast. I have coeliac disease and so I am severely allergic to gluten. The staff serving were not only super friendly but ensured I had a delicious and safe cooked breakfast to enjoy.

We attended for a Friday evening meal with friends. Which we thoroughly enjoyed. My wife had the chicken supreme Main which she said was the best she had ever had ( compliments to the chef) The service was attentive but un intrusive and Shuti, was excellent. Many thanks to the whole team, and we look forward to returning soon.

Room freezing on arrival - reception were not helpful fixing this or upgrading/changing our rool. Heating was not working at all. Car park no existant and no offering for additional parking. Inner city i know, but some people travel to the city to visit. Overall experience was 5/10 - on a £200 per night room.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Really beautiful inside, with a great team who take care of you. The food is delicious. My room was comfortable, clean, spacious and I loved the handy bathroom supplies, which are so helpful for travellers. The small touches make a huge difference. I would definitely recommend this hotel over other hotels in Birmingham.
