Rixos Premium Bodrum

I do have a couple of things to say for anyone who is like me and despite what a hotel seems like, still has to go through lots of reviews before I go ahead and book it. The hotel itself ls stunning, the rooms, facilities, food, pool and beach are all beautiful. If you’re looking for somewhere to completely unwind and chill this place is phenomenal. However, me, my wife and our two teenage girls did not experience any “good service” whilst staying at the hotel. More often that not al 4 of us finished our entire meals before even been offered a glass of water (never mind any other beverage). The severs were extremely slow and once you eventually get a drink you’ll be very lucky to get another one as they just wouldn’t come back to you unless they came back to clear your empty plates, and again, still wouldn’t offer any drinks when doing that. I can extend my service complaint not only to the buffets but also to around the pool and the beach. You get a bar code next to each bed to order from, use it or else you there’s a high chance nobody will ask you if you need a drink. There isn’t much going on at the hotel at all, water activities and seemingly cool things like paddle courts l, volleyball court etc all come with extra cost. I did not see a single person playing either during my 7 night stay. The most bizarre quote when asking how much to rent the jet skis was €250 euros for 15 mins, on average everywhere else we have been to, its around €50. Continuing on with the activities or lack of in this case - you should also be aware that the beautiful al a carte resteraunts on site are NOT free like they are in all other hotels and all Rixos hotels too which was very strange. No biggie for me or the kids but my wife was furious about it. The nighttime entertainment starts around 9.30pm and at least when I was there, always a singer who can sing in a few different languages (Turkish,English,Russian) as you would expect. The signing shows all seemed the same style of music and it’s more like chill with your wife music, if you have older kids they won’t be into it and will then look to do other things - which they won’t be able to do because there is nothing else to do at that time. To conclude I feel really strange because the location and facilities are out of this world but the service and endless list of extra charges you don’t find at any other 5 star all inclusive just means we would never come back to stay here which is unfortunate as we love the rixos chain and we love to go on holiday to places a little bit more luxurious than others. To summarise, the place is beautiful and if you’re looking to stay there for peace, quiet and serenity you will get all 3 there, however the service is one of the worst/lazyest things ve experienced in a long time and in terms of Rixos hotels I would have to sadly put this at the bottom of the list on al that I have visited which is a real shame.

Just as said in the title, great food and beautiful beach, but it severely disappointed me with the range of activities if you don’t wanna go to the beach or the pool essentially they almost have virtually nothing to do except eating, obviously.

The stay was wonderful, the staff was wonderful, everyone was friendly and helpful in every way. Very clean, the food was incredibly delicious and varied. The pier and beach were gorgeous… I could only stay forever.
