Long recognized as one of the finest luxury hotels in Bogota, Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota's stately and urbane jewel of composure and calm is now a signature Four Seasons experience, perfectly placed for business and nestled in the Zona G (for Gastronomy), the destination for the best restaurants in Bogota.

I feel compelled to write a review here because this is the ultimate hotel example of "two things can be true at once". Other reviewers are absolutely correct that this is not your "typical Four Seasons experience". However, the reviewers who comment on the awesome service and atmosphere are also correct. I stayed here four nights this past weekend and would do it again gladly. Pros: - Great location in a neighborhood filled with great bars and restaurants and a bit more authentic feeling than Zona T or Zona Rosa - Service is spectacular. Everyone with whom I interacted was awesome. - Historic mansion feel - Breakfast was great every day - I thought the whole experience was a good value but I will admit I am not an expert on Bogota's tourist economy - Dear God do not know where they get their mattresses or pillows but WOW! - New speakeasy very cool with amazing cocktails. Cons: - The downside of being historic and "old" is creaky floors, less than perfect HVAC, trickle showers, and small elevators. That is a "to each his own" trade-off. - The wine list was an after thought at best. I am not looking for Paris but even a couple of Chilean or Argentine selections from the higher end. Maybe there are supply chain issues here about which I do not know. - Road noise is material. If you are super sensitive to this you might want to consider another option. Bottom line is that if I was in Bogota this coming weekend again I would not even look for an alternative lodging location.

Every room has street or construction noise. It’s awful and really absurd to suggest that this is a Four Seasons experience, My first room had construction noise. It was absurd. Then they gave me another room with very loud street noise. Then they showed me two other rooms that had a lot of street noise and told me 1) this was quiet for them and 2) all rooms have a lot of street noise. Do not stay here. Called Amex Centurion and recommended they remove this from their Fine Hotels & Resorts program.

This is the best hotel in Bogota - I've worked here for over 30 years, and stayed at the Marriott, the Sofitel, the Four Seasons Bogota. Casa Medina is first rate all the way. Beautiful, spacious and comfortable rooms. The best imaginable staff. Great location in Rosales in the Gastronomic District. Really nice steam room. Fabulous food. Avoid a noisy room on Septima and you'll love it

Brunch was in a lovely space but it was overpriced (even for a Four Seasons) and underwhelming - limited selection, frequently out of dishes, and the service was poor - multiple requests for coffee and water (in Spanish) had little effect. Better options abound nearby.

Well appointed and nicely decorated building the the Gourmet quarter, very professional staff who has been very helpful throughout with advice and arrangements. Rooms are nice and spacious. Interiors have a nice historical character, breakfast and restaurant are really nice with a semi open patio
