My family enjoyed staying at the Spruce Point Inn. Everyone was friendly and it had a relaxed vibe. My kids enjoyed the game room. I enjoyed the trails, bike, paddle board, and pool. The food in the Salty Stag was reliable and everyone found something they liked. It was a lovely spot to soak up the Maine coastal vibe with my family. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean!

when we checked in we were not greeted. no hi ... welcome... nothing we were asked what we needed said we were checking in. We were given a key and a map that was it. No info about things that the place offers. the woman that checked us in was rude and just did not want to be there. There was a wedding, and lot was full we had to park so far and haul all of our stuff in 3 trips it took up to a hour to do this. while we were struggling employees just watched never greeted us and didn't offer any help while they just stood there. There needs to be some carts or help with carrying luggage even if you have to pay a fee. It was sad we had to find out (on our last day) about the free coffee, trolley and shuttle service from other guests who had same complaints about checking in. We had High expectations this place did not meet. Restaurant was fab! The room was great to but you have to call to get housekeeping to room for daily cleaning.

Spruce Point Inn is always a great place to stay, relax, enjoy the amenities - s'mores in the cool evening - or take the launch or trolley into Boothbay Harbor -- love the grounds and ocean overlook - and trails to explore a bit. Early September is bit quieter and nice to head into BBH and browse, shop, eat and visit surrounding areas.

We love the Spruce Point Inn for its history, beauty of the grounds and scenery, relaxed and old school charm and atmosphere, and its friendly, hard-working staff. It is a visit we look forward to every year.

Resort is dirty and not kept up in every way. They ONLY positive is the view. The food in way overpriced, the staff really do not understand you at all. The only positive person is Raymond the man who took us to Burnt island for a 2hr stay on that island. Nothing works and as a pharmacist I would stay away from the warm pool on top, you have all kinds of bacteria there.
