Poised on Motu Tevairoa, only a ten-minute boat ride from the airport and fifteen minutes across the lagoon from the village of Vaitape, Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts combines heavenly location and proximity to the mainland. The resort boasts authentic Polynesian style and architecture and certainly offers some of the most traditionally designed rooms and villas in Bora Bora. While overwater bungalows are Bora Bora’s iconic accommodation type, the resort also features spacious Garden and Beach Villas with Pool. The 107 bungalows and villas are nestled in a beautiful tropical garden, on the beach and of course above the turquoise lagoon.

This trip was booked by Pacific for Less with our stay split between the islands of Taha'a and Bora Bora. When we arrived at the Bora Bora airport, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who took our luggage and guided us to our awaiting boat that took us to Le Bora Bora. The boat was very comfortable and relaxing (they played music, which was so nice). Upon arrival at the resort, we were greeted by staff, where we proceeded to check in. We were offered a complimentary drink and relaxed in comfortable seats during the check-in process. We were eventually escorted to our Otemanu overwater bungalow (side note, because our bungalow was near the end of the OWBs, the walk was pretty far - and they don't have bikes FYI, but it was not a big deal for us). Upon arrival, the AC was not working, and they did not set up our room for 3 people (they only set it up for 2 people). My travel agent reached out to the hotel, which sent someone out and was able to remedy the situation -- however, it was a situation that probably should have been checked before we arrived. Otherwise, the bungalow was nice, but it was the views of the water and of Mt Otemanu that blew us away. The water was shallow (up to my chest) and very clear. We snorkeled and swam with many fish, stingrays, and reef sharks (which are friendly and were more scared of us)! We swam to the coral gardens, which were pretty neat as we saw many fish. The sunrise was also gorgeous, and the weather was pretty great! We had a day of rough rain and wind, but that's the mountains for you! You can always find ways to make the best of rain! We ran into another hiccup the next day as our excursion was double-booked by the concierge team, so they booked the same excursion on two days unbeknownst to me so I had to converse back and forth with them until eventually having my travel agency get in touch with the concierge to sort out the confusion. The issue was eventually resolved, but it was a stressor in the early morning that I was not prepared for. The Polynesian evening was very special and held indoors due to the rain, but it was incredible to see the dancers up close and hear the beautiful music played by the staff. The food was wonderful, and the landscaping was gorgeous. Be sure to check out their amazing gardens--I've never seen anything like it. They have a HUGE door that leads to more gardens and replica dinosaur fossils. I felt like I was in a prehistoric world. Also, as a plus, they offer day rooms that you can book (I paid $100 USD) for when you check out and your boat/flight isn't until later. This allows you to have a basic room with a shower where you can relax until your transportation arrives! You can always ask for a late check out, but they will likely charge a half or full day's rate. Either way, the options are great. Overall, the experience was great and the views were gorgeous!

The overwater bungalows are stunning, looking over the turquoise lagoon. The walk back along the boardwalk at night with the lights was magical, looking for fish, sharks and rays over the side. The gardens were also a delight to discover. I couldnt fault the time at the resort, it was a special spot and I cant wait to return.

We booked our dream trip for an anniversary trip through Pacific for less and chose to stay at Le Bora Bora. We had a beach front villa with a pool and enjoyed the best experience I could have imagined. The Resort was beautiful with gardens and ponds filled with Water Lillies everywhere. The restaurants were good and the service was outstanding. We enjoyed the Polynesian ceremonies and the staff was very welcoming.

We spent our 25th anniversary here and brought along our two teens (young adults). This was the perfect location, as there are a few overwater bungalows that allow 4 guests. It's still very quiet since anyone in this area had to be over a certain age, and most bungalows only allowed 3 total guests. the view is absolutely stunning.

I travelled solo to Tahiti & Bora Bora and had the most amazing stay in an overwater bungalow . The resort & bungalow were beyond my expectations…. was a 10/10 experience, the rooms, beach , gardens , lobby, restaurants..everything was perfect !!
