Located in one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods, Battery Wharf Hotel is a collection of four buildings and offers a fresh and contemporary alternative to the city's more traditional hotels. With a smaller number of rooms, the hotel is more like a boutique urban retreat, evoking a residential feel. Guest chambers are designed to make the most of the waterfront location, while high-tech amenities are there for added convenience. The hotel is home to the AAA Four-Diamond Award-winning Sensing restaurant, an epicurean experience featuring a global menu of entrées that are creatively plated and prepared. Imbibing takes place in the Lobby Living Room, which sets the stage for conversation and impromptu toasts in a lounge-like setting.

Right in between North & South Station, It is the perfect location. Working water front views, Italian food around the corner, and we attended a Bruins & Celtics game. Rooms are clean & very spacious. This will be our go to home away from home in the North End of Boston.

Zero appreciation for customers. I travel a lot for work. Numerous issues with my stay. Zero accountability. Called the front desk to try and report the issue, only to find out the front desk button didn’t work on the phone, only a busy issue. Tried calling back the second night, number still didn’t work tried the housekeeping number, yet another busy system. First night I called directly to get a live person, nada. Second night, called numerous times, busy system, tried calling zero, was told yes call zero when you need anything. I explained I have a hotel phone it has a front desk button and housekeeping button, and no direction to call zero for basic needs. I was met with with well both of those buttons don’t work, you should have called zero. Well at least the zero is correct as I won’t be back as despite the rude responding person I spoke with, luckily, I value my time and I won’t waste it on this lack of hospitality experience ever again.

⭐️⭐️ There was a large group of us staying here for New Year’s Eve — 8 rooms total — and unfortunately the experience did not match the price point or expectations. The location is a major plus: walking distance to TD Garden and Faneuil Hall. The atmosphere was nice, the hotel was very clean, and noise levels were perfectly fine, especially considering how busy NYE is in the city. That said, about 25% of our rooms had significant issues, which is unacceptable given we were paying $400+ per night. One room was locked out for over an hour and a half. Even with the help of the hotel engineer, they couldn’t get the door open right away. Those guests literally spent the actual ball drop stuck in the hallway. After finally getting back into their room, they waited well over an hour for their valet car. No one from the hotel informed the guests waiting outside that there was an accident near the garage causing traffic to be completely held up. I ended up bringing snacks out to them because they had been trying to leave for over two hours. In general, if you plan on using the valet service, build in at least 15–30 extra minutes — if not more. The majority of our party experienced long waits getting their cars, which added to an already frustrating end to the night. Another major concern involved a room occupied by a 75-year-old couple where the heat stopped working in the middle of the night. The engineer came and suggested moving rooms at 2:00 AM, which they understandably declined. The temporary workaround was to turn the heater off so cold air wouldn’t blow through the vents and the room temperature could stabilize — far from ideal. A third room had a large crack in the bathroom vanity and a balcony door lock that didn’t work. The guests were so concerned about being charged for damage that they took photos immediately upon arrival. Additionally, my room and three other rooms did not have refrigerators. I was able to request and receive one, but the other rooms were not. Overall, the amenities were underwhelming for a hotel at this price point. One more important note: not all rooms have bathtubs, which should be clearly stated during the online reservation process. As a group, we spent a significant amount of money both on the rooms and at the hotel itself. While the hotel looks nice and is clean, it was simply not well-prepared for such a busy night. For the cost, we expected better communication, room readiness, and consistency across rooms. Great location and nice atmosphere — but the experience fell short of what we paid for.

Great location for walking the North End and to Faneuil Hall marketplace. Superb architecture, both of the hotel and the surroundings. The hotel restaurant dinner was excellent.

Great location, friendly staff and room with great view. We would absolutely stay here again. Definitely a hidden gem in Boston that conveniently located and easy to get to.
