The Colonnade Hotel

Wow! What an hotel 👍 From the time we booked in to the sad day we checked out everyone & everything was first class. The room was not yet ready (which was to be expected as we arrived at 09:30 and checkout for departing guests was 11:00) but we could store our luggage in the safety of the lobby c/o Hicham, and treated to complimentary snacks from the key card access bar - pretzels, fig Newtons, Orios, apples, oranges, trail mix, coffee, tea hot chocolate and canned drinks- unheard of as far as complimentary treats over here. So much so that we feasted there for breakfast each morning- Thank You 👍 We were also treated to excellent service at Reception whenever we needed directions etc , to the point of even marking out on street maps where we needed to go, and explicit directions for trains. Our room on the 5th floor was well appointed and spacious complete with comfortable dressing gowns, luxury shampoo, body lotions etc. The room was made up daily and restocked. A big shout out to the housekeeper for room 506 (cannot remember her name regrettably but believe it could be Marianne) and to all on Reception Mike, Gabe, Michael, Aiden, Lily amongst others- a tribute to the professional way we were treated 👍🥳

This hotel is fabulous, everything about it! The location, rooms, lobby, breakfast, bar are top notch!

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, great parking accessibility, boutique rooms. Will stay again when back in the area.

This is a tough review to write but I want to be honest and open for visitors. The hotel’s location is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, although dated. However, there are few basic amenities here - we booked this place partly because of the spa and pool; but when we arrived (mid sept) we were told that the pool closed from labor day …. The bar/ restaurant (Lucie’s ) was also closed on Sunday and Monday during our trip - yes you could order room service , but in a large hotel in a central location you would expect more.

Location of hotel is perfect with view of Prudential Centre. Room was very spacious and was very quiet at night. A special mention to housekeeping staff, in particular Zainab (hope I got name right) who kept our room spotless and Norman the doorman who went out of his way to keep our bags safe on travel home day and arranged transport to airport. Definitely went the extra mile! Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.
