Reviews for The Eliot Hotel

An unforgettable stay at The Eliot Hotel. Loving the cozy vibe, unbelievably friendly staff. A perfect stay.

We stayed at The Eliot Hotel for a few days before Christmas with our two kids and it was incredible. When we got there, the place looked stunning, even more so with the snow falling. The building was beautifully decorated for the holiday season, giving it a warm, cozy holiday feel. The hotel itself was welcoming and comfortable. Our suite was big, clean, and worked perfectly for our family. The staff truly stood out as the highlight of our stay. They were incredibly kind and attentive to the small details. For example, at breakfast, they remembered how much my daughter enjoyed the sausages. The next morning, without us even asking, they brought them to our table as soon as we sat down. It’s that kind of thoughtful service that sets the best places apart and this was definitely one of them. Breakfast was tasty and fresh, served in a nice, relaxed spot. It was a great way to start the day. The location was ideal too, just a quick walk to Newbury Street, Fenway park and more, a perfect spot for exploring the best of Boston.

Good but not great

We had high expectations for our stay here and in some ways the hotel lived up to them and in others it felt short. The positives- the suite was spacious, lots of storage, decorated nicely. The valet staff and doorman were all extremely friendly and helpful. We felt safe here and the neighborhood is easily walkable to lots of restaurants and transportation. The negatives- we weren’t “wowed” at all on the trip as we have been at our previous iprefer properties. The room needed some maintenance (one remote didn’t work, AC didn’t work well, dirt/hair on doorframes and trim). In our previous stays at other properties we have felt very welcomed and wanted and the staff went above and beyond but we didn’t have that experience here. For the price and accolades we had higher hopes. Maybe this hotel is better for adults versus families?

The perfect spot

We stayed in one of the suites. I loved the ease of making the reservation, the convenient texts and emails and the friendliness of the staff. The room was clean and the beds were plush. I had great sleep, which is not always easy to achieve. The location was absolutely perfect close to many restaurants and Newbury street. Not only is back bay beautiful, you are close to fenway and the T. We would stay again.

Truly Delightful!

Everything about The Eliot Hotel is superb. Seamless check in with friendly and helpful staff. The location is wonderful as it’s located on beautiful Commonwealth Avenue, close to the Charles River and a short walk to the Prudential Mall for eateries and shopping. Uni restaurant serves clean and fresh ingredients in delicious Japanese dishes, we dined outside in the beautiful summer weather 3 times during our stay and everything we tried from the menu was incredibly good. We highly recommend The Eliot Hotel, our room was large and quiet, the bed comfortable and everything was just perfect.
