Staying here now. Not great so far. Have mixed opinions. Love the location and Umi. However, there are a bunch of negatives. House cleaning is not great. No toilet paper replacement so had to call down at midnight to request it two times. Our room cleaning was skipped today. The door tag says “do not disturb” on one side and “cleaning in progress” on the other side. I was leaving the room today and noticed we still had “do not disturb” on it, so I tried to turn it over to say cleaning requested..like most hotels have on the door tag. but this one had “Cleaning Service in progress” on it so I couldn’t really put that either so I dropped the tag on the floor hoping they would realize we are requesting room cleaning as I left the room. (They only gave us one key so it was with my husband and I had no choice but to put the door tag on the floor hoping they realized I was taking do not disturb off so they would clean. But I Came back to the room many hours later at 8 PM and apparently the Cleaning Lady stuck the tag back on for it to say do not disturb. So nobody cleaned our room. When we complained at 8 PM when we came back, they then proceeded to send someone up to clean it who did not understand we actually wanted to clean that evening so we had to go down to the front desk again and explain we actually wanted to clean that evening. So we left the room for 30 minutes and came back however she never replaced the toilet paper. So at midnight, we had to request that. The room does not have a full length mirror, and Lighting is very low so when you were getting ready…it’s not ideal. Bathroom is very small and shower super small. For the amount paid, we would expect better house cleaning service and a room with a nicer bathroom and lighting and mirror to get ready. It cost almost $1,000 per night and it’s def not worth it. Unfortunately, we are not living this hotel:(.

The Eliot is best hotel in Boston. It is like visiting the most elegant home with a personal staff. We stay here whenever we can.

Very nice smaller hotel in a great location. T location on green line 2-3 blocks away. Staff very helpful and plentiful, quick elevator. Room was one of the “regular” size ones but was sufficient for the two of us. Nice decor. Bathroom okay but def on the very small size. Uni Resto and bar good but omikaze dinner too expensive for what you get. Bill was $600 for the two of us with a bottle of 70 dollar wine. Breakfast buffet similar to a Holiday Inn; need a better effort there. Also: lobby very small but nicely done albeit with fake flower arrangements. Take the next step up and have at least one spectacular fresh arrangement. Would likely return due to staff and location, overall a very nice place to stay.

This is the only place we stay in Boston. An establishment that keeps familiar faces is truly invested in the returning customer experience, but I’d suggest this to any newbie for the unique old Euro vibe, the fabulous suites, and incredible service. Plus Uni is an experience unto itself. Top notch food and experience, and can go casual or dressed to the nines and feel perfectly at home. Would beam us there once a week if it was possible. .

Stayed 3 nights , 1st-4th. Lovely hotel, very clean, brilliant position . 10 mins walk to Fenway , 2 mins to Newbury St. The best thing about this hotel though , and the one thing that can make or break your stay was the staff. From the bottom to the top , amazing. They can’t do enough for you. We unfortunately mislaid a bag in a taxi on the way to the hotel from the airport. We never got it back but the staff and management went their ends trying to recover it 4 me . It contained important meds and within 2 hours the management had rang round and found where I could get it all replaced in the morning. We will be staying here again and I will recommend. As a side note , if you like sushi there is an unbelievable restaurante tied to the hotel. Expensive but high quality…,
