Reviews for Hotel AKA Back Bay

Nice Hotel in the City

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed at the AKA Back Bay for a couple nights. Overall, the location is good and pretty close to the main Boston attractions. The service is also good and there was nothing to complain about when it comes to their food. The reason for a 4 star rating was simply because we felt the general hotel experience was more akin to a 4-star rather than a 5-star hotel based on the rooms having some dated features. Nevertheless, we would consider staying again in the future.

10 out of 10!

Heather was extremely accommodating from the moment we walked in the door! She really went above and beyond for us, I’m glad she was there to take care of us. The hotel is located in a great area. What impressed me the most was the comfort. We stayed in a recently renovated room and there were so many small conveniences that made a huge difference. I’m particular about beds and theirs was very comfortable. Not too hard not too soft. The duvet was large and fluffy. The pillows were down and so cozy. Probably the best sleep I’ve had at a hotel. The lighting was very cool and all at your fingertips by the nightstand. The nightstand had plenty of outlets and places to charge up. The dresser had a mini fridge built into it. The shower had nice pretty and plenty of space. The room had bathrobes, a handheld steamer, a Nespresso machine (with nice cups and silverware) The tv had on demand and was also easy to cast from. We had such a pleasant stay and hope to be back in the future! Thank you aka!

Friendly from the first moment inside

I visited the area with my three children, and we loved our time at hotel AKA Back Bay. Everyone was so friendly from the moment we walked in. The room was clean and I appreciated the bathrobe, tea kettle and coffee supplies. I had wonderful conversations with Ryan, Maykel and Keisi at the front desk. They were all so helpful at supplying me with toothpaste when ran out and utensils for my salad I grabbed at the grocery. I felt so at home at the hotel and the city of Boston. Hope to make it back some day and I would definitely stay here again.

Our new go-to hotel in Boston

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I have stayed in numerous hotels in Boston in the past year, hoping I'd find a favorite that I'd like to return to time and time again. I finally found that in Hotel AKA Back Bay. I stayed in one of the newly renovated "Platinum" rooms and the upgrade was worth it. The room was very stylish, quiet, and comfortable, with every amenity I hoped it would have, including a beautiful and luxurious bathroom and great lighting. The location, too, was perfect. Just a short few blocks to more than one fun neighborhood, the green line T stop (important if you have a student at Boston College like we do), shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, Trader Joes, and more. We also love to walk and easily strolled to the North End for dinner and home from Fenway after a Red Sox game. The hotel staff (including front desk, valet, and housekeeping) were all delightful, welcoming and helpful. We didn't eat on site this time, but did order room service one night and it was delicious. We will be back!

A wonderful stay - best staff ever

We had a fantastic stay - a really nice, solid hotel - rooms are great and quiet - wonderful location. The stay was made by the staff - the desk crew was very helpful and gave us great ideas for food and drink - the guys outside were very helpful for everything. Dipak helped us arrange early transportation to the airport and couldn't have been better - Ryan Stephan and everyone at the front desk gave us outstanding service - we can't wait to go back. Our go-to hotel in Boston.
