It is one of the United States' most historic cities, and now one of the world's finest hotel groups is making its mark on Boston's own Boylston Street in the city's exclusive Back Bay neighborhood. With 136 rooms and a dozen suites, Mandarin Oriental, Boston has the feel of a boutique property, offering an intimate ambiance in the midst of an urban environment. The rooms and suites, some of the city's most generously sized, swathe guests in designer linens and quench desires with luxurious soaking tubs and the latest technological gadgets. Enjoy the atmosphere in Asana, the hotel's signature restaurant, which serves authentic new England seasonal cuisine. We were so happy we chose the Mandarin Oriental, Boston for our first trip. My daughter was due to have surgery there in Boston and we could not have chosen a better place to recover. Jason Paluch, a huge thank you to you especially. There aren't many hotels that know the art of customer service quite like you do. The team literally rolled out the red carpet for my 3 year old and myself. At check in, we had a quiet floor and upgraded to what was pretty much the best room on the floor. A corner overlooking the Main Street with a beautiful hallway as you entered and a huge bathroom that would allow my daughter to not get her surgery area wet. They also set up a tent for her with books, teddies, and just thoughtful touches to make her feel welcome. Even sending up our "Buttler" who delivered more books! Wow, lovely staff. We stayed almost 8 nights and part of the visit was essentially being in lockdown whilst the blizzard hit Boston pretty severely; rightfully so all shops were closed that Monday so it was so lucky we had the hotel plaza to roam and explore with a toddler. The hotel made it a joy to be there so many nights, away from our family, and make the most of a very chilly part of the year.

It has been nice to return. Located not far from Copley Plaza, it makes it accessible to parks, shopping, restaurants, etc. and magnolias were in full bloom… Rooms are pretty big, well appointed, great showers, comfy beds and good services. Breakfast is very nice in Gordon’s Kitchen and options are pretty large. All the staff weee kind and professionals. A pool though would have been the path to perfection…

My stay at Mandarin Oriental for Boston Marathon weekend was truly exceptional and exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, the level of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail was evident. Every member of the team provided service that was warm, attentive, and genuinely personalized, creating an experience that felt both seamless and memorable. The location could not have been better, right at the finish line (Boylston) making race day logistics effortless and allowing me to be in the heart of one of the most exciting weekends in Boston. Having a beautiful, peaceful place to return to while still being steps away from all the energy and celebration of marathon weekend made the experience even more special. The accommodations were beautifully designed, impeccably maintained, and offered the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. My room was peaceful, elegant, and thoughtfully curated, making it an ideal space to relax and recharge. Every aspect of the property reflects a commitment to excellence and guest experience. What made the stay even more outstanding was how thoughtfully the hotel catered to marathon weekend. They offered incredible runner-focused amenities, including recovery treatments and massages that were exactly what was needed after race day. The complimentary breakfast was a wonderful touch to start each morning, and the marathon watch party overlooking the race created such a special atmosphere for family and friends to cheer on runners crossing the finish line. Dinner at Ramsay’s Kitchen was another highlight, with exclusive marathon weekend pasta specials that made pre-race fueling feel elevated and memorable. Even small touches like the Samuel Adams offerings added to the celebratory feel of the weekend and showed how much thought went into creating a complete experience for runners and guests. What stood out most was the staff’s dedication to going above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Their kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression and elevated the entire stay. I would highly recommend Mandarin Oriental to anyone visiting for the Boston Marathon or seeking an outstanding hospitality experience, and I look forward to returning in the future.
