It is one of the United States' most historic cities, and now one of the world's finest hotel groups is making its mark on Boston's own Boylston Street in the city's exclusive Back Bay neighborhood. With 136 rooms and a dozen suites, Mandarin Oriental, Boston has the feel of a boutique property, offering an intimate ambiance in the midst of an urban environment. The rooms and suites, some of the city's most generously sized, swathe guests in designer linens and quench desires with luxurious soaking tubs and the latest technological gadgets. Enjoy the atmosphere in Asana, the hotel's signature restaurant, which serves authentic new England seasonal cuisine. M Bar & Lounge, with its eye-catching wine wall, dazzles guests with a menu of exotic cocktails.

The Mandarin Oriental Boston is a beautiful property. Everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful and kind, going above and beyond in their service. It's clear that they take pride in their jobs, and the level of service was unmatched. I will definitely return.

An exceptional stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston. Warm and attentive service, beautifully appointed rooms, and a refined breakfast made our experience truly unforgettable. A perfect address for those seeking luxury and tranquility.

While this hotel is elegant and quiet, it’s in need of a bit of a refresh. It’s quite apparent it hasn’t been touched in a while. Service is great and attentive. The biggest draw back was the breakfast (which, in all my travels I don’t think I’ve ever complained about). Maybe the most inedible food ever at the Gordon Ramsay restaurant. I imagine he’d scream at everyone in there if knew about the quality that’s being served.

Review for Mandarin Hotel Our experience at the Mandarin was unfortunately disappointing. The TV in our room didn’t work, so we couldn’t watch the sports we had been looking forward to. Someone came to try to fix it, but without success. Breakfast was even worse. My husband, who is celiac, ordered an omelette with gluten-free toast. It took 30 minutes to arrive, and it was the wrong order. The server told us, “You can have this one for free, or we can make you a new one, but it will take time since we’re full.” He ended up with the wrong omelette and no toast, which only arrived later—and yet they still charged us for it. My breakfast was Eggs Florentine, but it was dry, with no sauce, only four tiny potatoes, and no garnish or presentation—certainly not what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. I complained at reception, and the man at the desk credited the $100 we had allocated for breakfasts back to our room. While I appreciated the gesture, the overall service and quality were far from what we expected at a luxury hotel.

Awesome hotel. The room, the building, the service, the food..... and the location is perfect to walk to many great places.
