A well-crafted life, a century in the making. Explore a beautifully restored and reimagined luxury hotel at the intersection of Newbury and Arlington Streets, where the bustle of the Back Bay is your playground and the idyllic Boston Public Garden your front yard. We’ve been a beloved landmark, a distinctive symbol of Boston’s rich history, a place of gathering, and now—a striking homage to the neighborhood we call home.

The Street Bar at The Newbury Boston never misses. The food and cocktails are consistently spectacular, but it’s the service that truly shines. Conch—our server tonight and on many visits—treats us like family, only better. She, along with Ramon her assistant and other servers such as Larissa, Desiree, Sasha, and Rico, and every team member bring genuine care and class. Kudos to Sashi, Ulisses, and the rest of the restaurant management for assembling such a remarkable crew.

I stay at the hotel for business three days a week, every week and cant say enough about the front desk, housekeeping, bell, and bar, staff. But a special shout out to Bell man Ben. He learned my name in one day, and every time i arrive makes me feel like family. He offers to bring my bag to my room so I can go straight to dinner, loads me with water to keep me hydrated. When he asks if i need anything, I believe he truly wants to help. Thank you, Ben.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Top notch! Check in and out were amazingly easy. Room was fantastic! Had view over park. Was staying for a conference. All aspects were great!

Fabulous lunch and bar experience! Stop and have a glass or some tea. Or a meal! See the world walk by and enjoy full views of Boston Gardens. A must while visiting Boston. Conveniently located at the Newbury Hotel facing the gardens. Friendly, efficient, approachable and professional staff. A MUST!

Sadly, this is no longer a 5 star hotel. I've stayed here over 20 times since it opened and this property is going downhill. Rooms are OK, but not as elegant as the new Raffles. The issue is service levels which can vary widely. I checked out Sunday and used the text service to retrieve my car from valet parking (as instructed on the ticket). Got an error message back saying it wasn't working, so I called down (30 minutes in advance) and valet said it would be right up. I went down after 30 minutes and the car wasn't there. It was a zoo at curb - I was finally able to track somebody down and they said my car would be right up. Unfortunately, they brought somebody else's car!! Shocking and, to be honest, very concerning. After asking five times where my car was, it finally showed up just over an hour after I called. This is NOT a 5 star property, and the service levels are nowhere near acceptable for their room rates.
