Street Bar at the Newbury Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Everything about our experience at the Newbury hotel has been perfect! We had a wonderful dinner at the Street Bar restaurant and had a fabulous waitress named Conch! She was one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had and by the end of the night she felt like family! 10 out of 10 experience

Excellent Location and beautifully appointed rooms and lounge areas.

Perfect location overlooking the park. Easy walking distance to shopping on Newbury St and Beacon Hill. Room was roomy, airy - with nice large windows overlooking the park. Food was excellent. Best breakfasts I’ve ever had. First level bar and guest lounge was very nice with treats all day long. This is where we will stay every time we travel to Boston.

Great experience...Street Bar was Amazing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

My wife and I booked a room for our anniversary. The hotel and staff were amazing, but we spent a few outs in the Street Bar before heading to dinner. What an amazing experience. Tyler had half the bar chatting, made incredible cocktails, and created a warm/fun environment. 10/10 would recommend the hotel and regardless, would 1000% recommend the Street Bar for anyone looking for great cocktails...Incredible atmosphere.

Exceptional in Every Way

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We stayed at The Newbury Boston for a long weekend to see Chris Stapleton at Fenway, and since it was our last trip before welcoming our baby girl, we decided to make it our unofficial babymoon. What we didn’t expect was how completely the staff would embrace that and make the weekend so special for us. Somehow, Make Way for Ducklings became our baby’s first book thanks to The Newbury. When we arrived, the sweetest stuffed duck was waiting for us, along with a copy of the book in our room. Since everyone tells you how important it is to read to the baby while she’s still in the womb, my husband read it to her every night of our stay. We loved the little tradition so much that we bought our own copy before leaving Boston. The hotel even inadvertently helped us with her nursery—we came home with a beautiful print of Mrs. Mallard and her ducklings that will now hang in her room. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Jesse, the doorman, was an absolute delight and always seemed genuinely happy to see us. And Ben, our bellhop, was wonderful. He remembered why we were in Boston, shared in our excitement about having a little girl, and even gave my husband some very important father-to-be advice: “Just say yes.” I’ve been telling him essentially the same thing for months, but apparently he needed to hear it from Ben! It was one of those stays that became so much more memorable because of the people. What started as a weekend away for a concert turned into such a special little chapter before our family of two becomes three. We can’t wait to come back next year—this time with our little girl, who will already know Make Way for Ducklings by heart.
