Staff is fantastic, absolutely friendly and welcoming. Location is near everything. Be warned, ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL! I had ~6inches (between my bed and the wall), so I was forced to always get off on the other side of the bed. Desk was placed directly underneath the TV, so working at it and watching TV was out of the question. Plus, the desk lamp and coffee maker were blocking parts of the screen. Updates are beautiful, but rooms are very small, and I'm 5'1". Def not comfortable for me. Will not be staying here again.

The Omni Parker House is still going through some renovations, but none effected our stay. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and the hotel looks phenomenal. We ate at both the Parker House Restaurant and the Last Hurrah, both of which were very good. Our room was a little small, but it was nice and clean. We were there for a conference on the 15th floor, problem was the elevator did not go up to the 15th floor. Guests took the elevator to the 14th floor and walked up the stairs to the 15th floor, which was a challenge since some of the attendees had problems walking up the stairs. The hotel did have a representative at the stairs offering to help anybody who needed assistance. Then the problem was coming down with over 200 people at the conference and only 4 elevators so waiting for an elevator was time consuming. This should not cause you any reason to not stay here if you are not attending a conference. The hotel itself is conveniently located near most of the sites you will want to see in Boston and I highly recommend it.

From start to finish a poor experience. Tiny rooms. Inferior technology. Slow and unavailable elevators. No view. Unhelpful staff. I have had better experiences elsewhere for half the price.

I am torn between a 3 and a 4. The deciding factor is the location of the hotel which was a plus 1. This hotel sits in middle of everything- freedom trail, the wharf, north Boston, the commons, all within walking distance. If you are a history buff and can forgive some of the knocks against a very old hotel, this is the place for you! The rooms are small! The toilet is wedged between the wall and sink. I am wide in the shoulder and could not sit back.(maybe TMI but you need to know). The walls are thin. There was a family next to us that thought it was cool to have their kids run up and down the hallway at 5:30am and then pretty much the rest of the day. As soon as the hotel was aware of it, they jumped right on it. Staff were friendly and attentive. They were working on the hotel and started working with rotary tools at about 7am two of our four nights there. Not sure I would stay there again, but the location may talk me into it.

Location and history of this hotel make it perfect for a family trip to Boston. Right on the Freedom Trail. Short walk to Boston Common and public transit. East walk to the North End for some of the best Italian food in the city. This is the oldest hotel in the country so don’t expect the luxury accommodation of a typical Omni. Rooms are small and there are definitely some quirks but that is part of the charm. Great stay. Great history.
