Reviews for Omni Parker House

Great stay, inconsistent service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 16 hours ago

Late July 2025 stay. Great location, very comfortable rooms, friendly cleaning staff. Staff at reception a little haughty and main staff at the bar blatantly rude. Addressed this during the survey at the end of our stay but the concerns raised were never addressed. Overall satisfied with our stay because we enjoyed Boston and because of the very convenient location of Omni Parker House, including the history behind it, but disappointed with the treatment received - not what you would expect from the Omni hotel lines.

This is a very historic hotel in a good location of Boston, but had some problems

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The location of this hotel is great, very central to many tourist locations throughout the city. We enjoyed the refreshing lemon water that was available in the lobby during the day and the Boston cream pie at the Last Hurrah bar and restaurant, though we did not see Parker House rolls on the menu. The staff we encountered was for the most part pleasant. The rooms felt more modern ( though ours did not have any hand soap in the bathroom.) My issue was that one night during our stay, our family of 4 was woken up by a broadcast alert to leave our rooms immediately due to a fire. This was very scary and we immediately got up and carried our small children down several flights of stairs to the lobby. The workers in the stairwells seemed confused and unaware of the situation and did not know how to direct the masses headed down the stairs. Once in the lobby, it continued to feel chaotic. No announcement on what to do or what was going on- I had to approach a staff member and ask if we should leave the building or if we were safe in the lobby. People around were anxious and confused; my children were upset and scared. And hot. And that lovely cool water from earlier in the day was not available. We found out that the alarm was triggered probably by someone who decided it was ok to smoke in their hotel room. My child said it felt like we were on the titanic when the ship was going down. While I do appreciate that their smoke detectors did work at this historic place and to the brave firemen and women who we saw march through with their axes, I was disappointed in what felt like a disorganized scene, and there was zero apology for the inconvenience. It was not the experience that one hopes for on vacation.

Perfect for walking around Boston

We had the best time in Boston and staying at the Omni Parker House was the perfect choice. Its location could not have been any better and we were so impressed by the service.

Resort fee bandits!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Good location, beware of resort fee! During COVID hotels where crying for customers, now that we are back they started squeezing money in every way they can. $35 for a daily resort fee that offers NOTHING is a rip off.
