Reviews for Omni Parker House

Location is everything

My partner had a business trip in Boston, and I decided to tag along since I had never been. When I found out he’d be staying at the Omni Parker House, I booked my flight and reserved a room as well. Joking about the city’s history beforehand, I was honestly a bit shocked and a little nervous to learn that the hotel is known for being haunted. When I arrived, I immediately noticed a graveyard tour happening across the street, which definitely added to the eerie excitement. The doorman kindly assisted me with my luggage, and as I entered, I could still feel the hotel’s old-world charm even with the recent renovations. Check-in went smoothly, and I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. My room was quaint and cozy…I really liked it. The only downside was the bathroom layout, as the toilet was positioned very close to the wall and sink, leaving little room to move comfortably. That said, my room ended up being much nicer than my partner’s! We decided to dine at The Last Hurrah, and the clam chowder was delicious. The lobster roll was also very good, though a bit pricey for the portion size. The deviled egg trio was just okay. Of course, we had to try the famous Boston Cream Pie (which, as I learned, isn’t really a pie at all), but unfortunately, it was dry and nothing particularly special. We also had dinner at Parker’s Bar, where we asked if they used the same Boston Cream Pie recipe as The Last Hurrah and whether “dry” was typical. They kindly provided a complimentary dessert and this time it was much better (moist, creamy, and far more enjoyable). The hotel’s location is fantastic, close to historic burial sites (which was a hard pass for me), the Freedom Trail, Boston Commons, and Public Garden, along with plenty of shops and attractions. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time in Boston and my stay at the Omni Parker House, though I will admit there were a few moments where I thought I heard “breathing,” which definitely kept things interesting! All in all, a memorable stay with a mix of history, charm, and just a touch of mystery.

Everyone the staff was so friendly and so helpful! The rooms were very clean. The hotel is located in a great area very close to a lot of tourist attractions, restaurants, and fast food.

One glorious now not much better than a motel

This place is not what it used to be. The experience started with a text asking what time we would arrive. We texted back 1:30pm. Got a text back that said added to you resection and see you then. We got there at 1:30 and told rooms are given out at 4pm. I asked why they text then and she said “so we know when people are.arriving”. Exactly there is only one reason why i would show up —for a a room! About 15 minutes before 4 we got texted room was ready. We go up to the room. No maid carts anywhere so obviously they are not cleaning rooms and giving them out but forcing people to wait till 4 to give them a room. We had a deluxe king reserved and I’ll put the photo of what i reserved and what we got below. The room was a $400 night prison cell. One small window up so high could not see out it. A plug in Ac unit. The bathroom was so tight could hardly turn around and there was no hot water. Tried to take a shower at 5pm and 7am. Both times the water was lukewarm at best on the hottest shower setting. Overall this was a total disappointment with a stupid $30 resort fee added in the fees and taxes were over $90 a night for nothing. From the poor treatment at the front desk to dark dingy room i would never return. It’s sad i came here so many times as a child. Never again

Every time we visit Boston, we stay at the Omni Parker House. The hotel is beautiful and the upgrades were nice. The people that are employed here are extremely helpful. The services that they offer from the moment you arrive until the moment you depart is a fantastic experience. Thank you!
