Bring your own IN BOSTON

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 hours ago

We arrived very late and it's bring your on booze.Everything was closed so we wanted one drink and some food. CONS-There is no mini bar! The windows are nailed shut so there is no ventilation and if you turn on the air conditioner it is so noisy you can't sleep. The room we stayed in had two dressers, a freestanding closet and a cabinet with a mini refrigerator. Plus a large desk. You could not move in the room because of this and it's not a large room.I had to pull out the desk chair to put my suitcase on between the two beds because there is only one luggage rack and enter the bed from the foot of the bed because there is a large dresser between the two beds. The cherry on top was the bathroom vanity is installed incorrectly.it was sideways (vertically) so you have to lean over the sink to wash your hands. Also you are unable to get in the bathroom unless you open the door all the way and then go in and turn around to close all the way. the door should be installed to open into the hallway.Simple fix! whoever the designer/contractor was, they cut corners.I feel bad for the Omni that they hired incompetent designers/contractors and probably were charged a lot.I understand it's an old building but installing a bathroom vanity sideways is moronic. My biggest complaint is please get mini bars in the rooms! I have never stayed in a hotel that did not have a mini bar and I am old.A small bottle of wine a can of beer and some nuts or popcorn would have made my stay. PROS-The people who work there are very nice and the beds and pillows are very comfortable.Sorry to say the pictures on their website looks nothing like the reality of the small dark crowded room.

Poor customer service especially from the hotel Manager

I do not think this hotel offers any form of personal customer service. When my wifi was not working I had to sit on a call for 40 minutes with a technician who couldn’t fix it and was asked to report it to the hotel! The manager of the hotel was extremely unkind, unhelpful and unforgiving when I lost my paper receipt for my bag and told me I couldn’t have my bag despite me giving her multiple options to verify the combination code and items inside. I was about to leave for the airport. I don’t think it’s worth the daily rate.

Omi Parker Boston is Overhype! Not Worth the $$$

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

RATING: 1 out of 5 | Check-in: August 31, 2026 | Check-out: Sept 2, 2026 If you want an expensive and small room, then book at the Omni! If you want a hotel with ZERO bathroom amenities, then stay here! There were only 5 items in the bathroom: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, Q-tips, and 5 pieces of cotton balls. The rest I had to ask for every single day: Shaving kit, dental kit, slippers, robe, shower cap, and bar soap. And there was no counterspace in the bathroom either. So if you need to get ready and get dolled up, this is not the hotel for you. You have to bring all your hair products and makeup to the study desk so you can get ready. Furthermore, upon check-in, I specifically requested a room away from the elevator because I am sensitive to noise and need a quiet environment at night. I was initially assigned Room 811, which was very close to the elevator. I went back downstairs and requested a different room. I was then moved to Room 838, which was located next to the ice and coffee machines—unfortunately, another noisy location. The room was loud at night and extremely noisy in the morning. Since I was only staying for two nights, I decided to make the best of it and stayed in Room 838. I gave the Omni a chance, but unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning. In the future, I would prefer to stay at the boutique hotel I typically reserve when I’m in Boston, where I’ve consistently had a much quieter and more comfortable experience.

GREAT customer service

I was not the one staying at the Omni Parker House, but rather my parents and aunt. They are in their eighties and got caught in bad weather going from Detroit to Boston. I was able to get a hold of Shay, and he assured me their reservation would be held even if they got in well past check-in time. I later spoke with the Assistant Mgr. Jess and again was reassured they would be well taken care of. It was a BIG relief to me, the daughter in CA, that my parents and aunt were going to have a room and not be any more stressed when they arrived. Thank you very much to the kind staff :)

Possibly the best hotel I've stayed at!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I had such an excellent stay at the Omni Parker House! Every single thing and detail about this hotel is well-crafted and intentional. What stood out to me... 1. Friendly and hardworking staff. It seems like the staff are genuinely happy to work here, and they seem proud of the work they do. Every interaction was pleasant at least, amazingly helpful at best. 2. I needed a shower chair during my stay. When I requested one, it was provided without a problem. 3. The bar and restaurant were great. I had dinner at the bar and lunch at the restaurant. Drinks and food were delicious. (Pro Tip: If you sit at the bar and order a drink, they'll give you a napkin with a fun fact about the hotel!! It was so cool.) 4. The location is perfect. I wanted somewhere that was within walking distance of attractions *and* nightlife, and this hotel satisfies both of those requirements with ease. I wanted somewhere that was quieter to come back to at the end of the night, and it absolutely was, in the best way. 5. We splurged for the chocolate covered strawberries + champagne add-on and... I almost hate to say this, but it was extremely worth it. We drove ~5 hours to get here, and it was such a lovely treat when we arrived. The strawberries were super fresh, too! Hard to do around this time of year. I'm not big on leaving reviews, but this place deserves it. I can't wait to come back!
