Reviews for Omni Parker House

Omni Parker House - Boston - let the buyer beware.

I took my wife on a nostalgia road trip starting from our home in Maryland, then - North to Mystic Ct (I was stationed in Groton during my time in the Navy on the mid '70's and we fell in love with Mystic), then - NE to Newport for some time on Ocean Drive + tours of a few mansions, then a great dinner at White Horse Tavern - oldest tavern in America, then North to Boston for 2 nights at the famous Parker House - where we discovered on arrival guest parking was a 3 block walk dragging our luggage from public parking (the only hotel parking was valet for $80/night). We were checked into a 7th floor room with a view of a brick wall of the adjacent building. Seriously over priced for the value. I'll stick with Marriot for future Boston stays.

More than the comforts of home

Hotel is directly on the Freedom Trail next to Kings Chapel 2 minute walk from the State Street subway line and 10 minute walk from Downtown Crossing Line. Oldest continuously running US hotel prices listed upfront on their site. Sign up for Loyalty program and receive a welcome drink of choice and $10 off food/beverage. Bellmen and Valet always ready to greet guests Front desk always available for bottled water. Concierge does not try sell you a timeshare like in Vegas they genuinely help you find events attractions dining that works for you. They printed out the new week of things to do while we toured the hotel. Peggy at Last Hurrah made us feel right at home. Jean the maitre d' at Parker Bar loves the city that has been his home of the past few months. Marco the server made my strange drink request seem perfectly reasonable.Thank you to Bellmen Dan and Tom who helped even when we didn't have luggage. Double kudos to John the man of a dozen hats ... hotel historian guide to front desk to bellman. We choose the least expensive room it was smaller in size but well organized ... true mini fridge super soft linens pillows bathrobes more than enough towels in-room coffee maker A/C worked well adjusted easily. Arianna and the rest of housekeeping staff kept the hotel clean and comfortable. Ice Maker down the hall Additional coffee and tea machines on other floors. There was no need to go to Cheers down the street within the first few minutes we both felt like we could be Norm.

Boston's Best Historic Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel truly special. The hotel is stunning, full of history, and feels like stepping back in time. My room was spotless, spacious, and absolutely beautiful. The location was perfect—the Common, the Freedom Trail, and other historic landmarks were just steps away. It was only a 10-minute walk to the harbor, where I enjoyed a wonderful cruise. I also visited The Last Hurrah for a bite and a beer—fantastic staff, delicious food, and perfectly chilled drinks. I can’t wait to come back, and the reasonable rates are the icing on the cake!

A hotel with history itself

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

This was one of those hotel stays where the people truly made the experience. The staff were some of the kindest, most attentive, and genuinely welcoming people I have come across in quite some time. We had what probably felt like a never-ending stream of questions—about the history of the hotel, the building, Boston, nearby historic sites, and just about anything else that crossed our minds—and no one ever made us feel as though we were bothering them. Quite the opposite. They encouraged our curiosity, took the time to answer our questions, and seemed genuinely happy to share what they knew. The front desk staff were wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable—even during the wee hours of the morning. The concierge was equally impressive, offering great suggestions for things to see and do and sharing fascinating information about both the history of the hotel and the surrounding area. There is something special about staying in a historic hotel and having staff who understand its story and are excited to share it with their guests. And then there is the location. It is difficult to imagine a better home base for exploring Boston. You are truly in the heart of everything. We hardly needed transportation at all—just walk out the hotel’s front door and some of Boston’s most famous historic sites, landmarks, restaurants, and attractions are right there. Being able to explore so much of the city on foot added tremendously to our experience. What stood out most, though, was the hospitality. The staff made us feel at home rather than simply checked in. They never gave the impression that they were answering a question just so they could move on to the next guest. They took their time, engaged with us, and made us feel that our experience mattered. A beautiful historic hotel, an exceptional location, and truly outstanding people. We would absolutely stay here again—and the staff deserve a tremendous amount of credit for turning a very good trip to Boston into an especially memorable one.

Perfect 10 year Anniversary stay

This hotel was exactly what we were hoping for plus more. The history of this hotel and how wonderful the accommodations were. All the staff members were so friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were on point. Our room was great for being the perfect temperature and quiet. I hope to stay here again. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.
