The Ritz-Carlton, Boston in Massachusetts, is central to all sections of the City. Overlooking the Public Garden in the renowned Back Bay residential neighborhood, the hotel is only four miles from Logan International Airport. Major highways and railroad stations are equally accessible. The hotel is in walking distance to historic monuments and theaters, the Financial District, the Convention Center, and Government Center. Bounded by Commonwealth Avenue, the hotel is at the corner of fashionable Newbury Street which features exclusive shops, restaurants, and art galleries. While offering the convenience of a city location, The Ritz-Carlton, Boston is unexpectedly quiet and serene.

Beware. Unfortunately it’s a Ritz that doesn’t live up to the brand’s reputation. Broken thermostat in our room - stuck on freezing cold temperature with a fan on and off all night preventing a good night of sleep; stained pillowcases; holes in the worn out fitted sheets; the best was being told to open a window if we were cold. They offered to move us but it would be in two hours which would put the move at 11pm. Ha. For the price point of this hotel our room conditions were unacceptable.

Kindly send this email to the hotel mgmt. This is NOT a ritz Carlton by any stretch of the imagination. I have stayed in over 500 nights of Marriot properties during my bonvoy membership. Most of them ritz properties around the world. I have never ever written an email or made a complaint. I arrived on Sunday afternoon. One person checking in guests while a group of 10-12 were waiting for the man. He was doing his best. Normally there’s a line for bonvoy elite members. None at this property. I get to the room and see the bathroom is more empty than an extended stay America’s or motel 6. One soap and shampoo dispensers on the shower. Insane for a ritz. Then to my utter shock i realize that the hotel has no mini bar or snacks in the rooms. Per multiple employees they were removed as it “cost the owner over $500,000 a year”. Thats a direct quote. How do you have the audacity to call this a Ritz Carlton charge over $1000 a night. Absolutely shocking. The nightly rate here should be $199-$249. Appreciate this email being sent directly to the hotel management. I would highly suggest removing this as a ritz. Make it a W or maybe Marriot. Thanks.

My wife and I visited the Boston region for our 10 year anniversary. As Marriott status members, we stayed a night at the Ritz-Carlton (Ritz) and oh my it did not disappoint. First, I want to recognize Brian at the front desk for the excellent service, warm welcome and honoring my wife and I for our special occasion. Brian went way above and beyond, exceeded expectations to make our time there the absolute best. We shared laughs, history (about the first Ritz property ever, local area, etc.) and great food. This interaction was very pleasant and got our trip started off on the best note. Now as far as the stay, we enjoyed many amenities the Ritz has to offer from the club lounge, the location, food/room service, and concierge services. All 5 star interactions. Everyone went above and beyond to deliver exceptional service and everyone seemed to know it was our special anniversary so thank you Ritz staff. In closing, again special thanks and recognition to Brian, you are a true gem and an asset to the Ritz brand. Service like you delivered is why I continue to be loyal to the Ritz and why I am an Bonvoy Ambassador member with Marriott and why I will continue to be loyal to the Marriott brand. Thank you!!!

I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Boston after staying in Chicago (Chicago Ritz is topnotch.) We booked a standard room. To be honest, I was completely underwhelmed. The room was very basic—nowhere near what I would expect at this price point. Surprisingly, there was no accessible outlet by the bedside to charge a phone. In fact, there was only one standard outlet available, so if you're sharing the room, you'll have to take turns charging your devices. Even more unsightly was the tangle of exposed cords hanging beneath the nightstand. The setup felt more like a budget Marriott than a Ritz-Carlton. Service was equally underwhelming. At check-in, the front desk agent didn’t even look up—just handed over the room key without a greeting or acknowledgment. The bellman never greeted or recognized us during our stay. These small details matter, especially at a hotel that prides itself on luxury, and their absence was noticeable. The bar area is nicely designed but quite small and seemed overrun with non-hotel guests. We barely managed to get a seat. Perhaps this Ritz caters more to residents and regulars than to standard hotel guests, but for $500–800 a night, I expected a much more refined and attentive experience. Honestly, you'd be better off at the Fairmont Copley or another high-end hotel in the area.

Loved spending our 44th Anniversary overnight in Boston, this is our 3rd year in a row and the Ritz-Carlton Boston is our go-to and most favorite place to stay when we are in Boston. April is a fabulous time to visit, everything is just starting to bloom, so many beautiful flowering trees and bulb plants - great location to walk around the Boston Common, Theatre district, Newbury St. and Copley area. The area and hotel is rich in history, and the rooms are nicely appointed. The Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ritz-Carlton Boston are there to service you and ensure your stay is the best it can be from your arrival, to check-in (and check-out), The Club Lounge, Artisan Bistro, Avery Bar and the added perk of enjoying the Equinox Fitness Center during your stay. Thank you to Mr. William Bunce and the Ladies and Gentlemen at the Ritz Carlton Boston for another special anniversary memory! PS: We truly appreciate your personal touch with this special note and welcome amenity (loved this!).
