The Ritz-Carlton, Boston in Massachusetts, is central to all sections of the City. Overlooking the Public Garden in the renowned Back Bay residential neighborhood, the hotel is only four miles from Logan International Airport. Major highways and railroad stations are equally accessible. The hotel is in walking distance to historic monuments and theaters, the Financial District, the Convention Center, and Government Center. Bounded by Commonwealth Avenue, the hotel is at the corner of fashionable Newbury Street which features exclusive shops, restaurants, and art galleries. While offering the convenience of a city location, The Ritz-Carlton, Boston is unexpectedly quiet and serene.

I stayed at the Ritz Boston on three separate occasions in July. It isn’t the newest or fanciest Ritz but the service is top notch. By my third trip they already had a kettle and tea in the room by the time I arrived since they remembered I like tea from my previous stays. Each time they had a standard fruit plate as an amenity. Concierge was very helpful with last minute reservations. My last room was upgraded to a park view. The water pressure is insane. The hotel is an 8 minute walk from Ostra, which is an excellent seafood restaurant. For solid service, I stay at the Ritz Carlton Boston.

Excellent luxury hotel for our family of 5. Children’s gifts upon arrival made them feel extra special. Club room is great. Right across from Commons.

I chose to spend my birthday weekend in Boston in this Hotel. It was my first time in Boston as well so I wanted it to be special and memorable. First of all, my sincere thank you to Caren Simmons for our excellent accommodation. The Hotel is conveniently located near the shops and restaurants, a couple of minutes walk to the Boston Common. It is well maintained despite its old age. The executive suite was spacious and clean. Turn down service was very thoughtful. Bottled waters were always refilled. The room service was efficient. The bed was comfortable. Sheets felt luxurious. Toiletries were, as usual, my favorite. The breakfast and dinner experience, in terms of food, was just average. The portion was adequate, however, the flavor was not exceptional. The restaurant staff, especially Halima, were all great, attentive and professional. Halima always made us feel welcome. She always had a smile on her face. Our only negative experience was upon check in. Since our room was not ready when we checked in around 11am, we were told by the gentleman that checked us in that he will give us a call but we never received a call. We had to call instead. Some of the front desk staff was not as warm and welcoming as the others. The concierge was efficient and readily available to assist. .

Nice location and decent sized rooms But the furnishings and amenities are really quite basic and do not meet the ritz Carlton standards, feels like an old Westin at best

We are loyal RC guests, and have stayed at this location several times. This time was a miss. $780 for a king suite, which was missing several key amenities, including a coffee maker in the room (although there was a sign where coffee should have been). There was no QR code for in room dining, and no way to order in the Marriott app, so we didn't order. The doormen were friendly, but after removing the luggage from our rental car, they made no effort to bring the luggage to our room. We were on our own. When we went to register, we noticed a coffee urn next to the desk. I said, "Oh look, coffee!" No, I was told, it was hot cider. Also good, but the agent told me they were getting ready to take it away. So, too bad for us. The registration agent had no clue that we were repeat guests, and was surprised when I told her we'd stayed there many times before. This was our fourth or fifth visit. Once we got to our room, we had no less than three unwelcome entries by staff members who did not knock prior to using their keys. Just a really bizarre series of missteps that, for a premium price, delivered a truly "meh" experience.
