Taj Boston

The Newbury is our preferred hotel in Boston. We love the charm of the renovated, classic hotel, its location in the heart of the city but most importantly, the attention to detail and the highest level of service offered by their staff. While we prefer to stay for 'date' weekends or after a Sox game, it's well suited for business use. There's amnesties galore whether guests only use of the Library, the bar or concierge-booked tables at Contessa on the top floor. The fireplace suites are a must try...where else can you find a fireplace concierge in Boston? While we appreciate the finer things in life, we're offered surprised the Newbury, especially with it's charm and service the national 5 star chains nearby, prices have always been either on par or less. We have another Sox game next weekend and look forward to returning to the Newbury!

Our 40th wedding anniversary trip, splurged on "fireplace suite" for $1300/nt. This hotel wants to be held to the highest standard of luxury hotels - it fails to reach that level. Room decor, room amenities, gym, overall atmosphere - bland and generic. The fireplace was nice but needed a lot of attention to maintain it and had to call each time it went out. Would not go back.

Just checked in. Did not get the room type I requested. The room smells like a dog. There are random long hairs everywhere. The sofa is very uncomfortable. So many issues for a high priced hotel, very disappointed

Can't say enough of how amazing our experience is every time we enjoy cocktails at the Street Bar! Tyler is a true professional as he knows us by name even though we only travel to Boston every few months. This is the best cocktail bar in Boston with the best hospitality professionals ever!!!!

Our Boston home away from home never disappoints. Especially the Street Bar. Thank goodness for Tyler and his team for being the best bar tenders around. Thank you guys for taking such good care of us, especially Tyler. See you soon.
