Spanning 3,500 acres of rolling hills and wooded forests, Chateau Elan reigns as North Georgia’s premier destination resort. A favorite for weekend getaways, corporate retreats, and everything in between, this sprawling property features stunning indoor and outdoor event spaces, multiple restaurants, professionally staffed golf and tennis clubs, a world-class spa, and more. From an authentic Irish pub to a Southern-style chophouse, guests of Chateau Elan will enjoy a global culinary tour guided by experienced chefs and sommeliers who share a passion for excellence. From humble beginnings, Chateau Elan Winery has emerged as one of the largest and most awarded wineries on the East Coast. We’re honored to offer more than 30 wines produced with grapes grown in our Braselton and south of Georgia vineyards, as well as grapes hand-picked and transported, whole cluster, in refrigerated trucks from California’s Lake County and Clarksburg regions. Our North Georgia winery is open daily for guided tours and tastings, as well as one-of-a-kind private events.

When I arrived, I saw that dinner for 200 was set just outside my room and that a speaker was placed immediately off my patio. The hotel grudgingly offered to move me to what they claimed was the only unoccupied room at the hotel. That room stunk!!! Obvious water damage of some sort and mildew. This was a very unhappy experience and when I responded to a survey question no one ever followed up.

$$$ for room plus $55 resort fee plus $28/parking plus $5 hotel fee, plus taxes. Versailles restaurant Mediocre at best. Ordered everything at once, after appetizers waited over an hour for our entrees. Sea Bass was ok, risotto overcooked and blend. Filet mignon butterflied (?) and tasteless.

I am formally lodging a complaint regarding the unacceptable manner in which your management staff and security team responded to a serious incident I experienced at your hotel. During my stay, I was subjected to racist and anti-LGBTQ+ harassment from another guest. Instead of receiving protection and support, I was met with a response that was dismissive, inadequate, and profoundly inappropriate. Your team’s handling of this matter not only failed to safeguard my dignity and well-being but also demonstrated a lack of training, sensitivity, and accountability. It is deeply troubling that a hotel of your stature would allow such a critical situation to be addressed in a way that left me feeling further marginalized and unsafe. Please be advised that I will be escalating this matter by submitting a formal complaint to corporate leadership and relevant oversight bodies. In addition, I will be sharing my experience publicly across multiple platforms so that others are fully aware of the risks of staying at this property. This experience was both humiliating and alarming, and I expect a prompt and substantive response outlining the actions your hotel will take to address this failure.

This is a lovely property and the staff is generally kind and caring. However, management seems fit to over price and understaff at every level. Here's what you need to know based on my experience: - The food is outrageously expensive. Next level pricey, even for breakfast. - The facilities are not as nice as they should be. We used the spa and in the men's locker room, the sauna wasn't working properly. The steam room smelled awful. The toilet wasn't clean. The shower's were out of soap. It was really sub par all around. - The main atrium where the hotel and restaurant (and bar) are located was overrun with flies. You read that right. The bar has little fans on it to keep the flies away. I'm not even kidding. So off-putting given the prices we paid. - The toilet in my room was broken. I had to ask 2x for it to be repaired. The people all very nice. I'm generally pretty okay with ups and downs when it comes to travel. Even hotels can have an off day now and again. But this was consistently bad so I felt compelled to share my takeaways. The main one? Stay away.
