Grand Hotel River Park, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bratislava

I’ve stayed in hotels in more than 50 counties and over 400 cities. I’m brand loyal to Marriott so always try to find one when I’m on business or vacation. I’m thrilled we stayed here with our friends this week, it’s among the very best I’ve experienced and that’s saying something because I’ve stayed in more hotels than I can count. It’s not just the physical building that’s great in every way, and it’s the staff too. Andrea checked us in and was charming and helpful, Kristina was awesome, so professional in looking after me as a Titanium member when I raised a couple of small issues with her and she fixed them all with a smile on her face, and Kegan is the loveliest hotelier you will meet. All employees are super! Their “club lounge” on the 9th floor is available if you book an exec room (well worth it), and the hotel has the best workout room and view over the Danube below. The pool, hot and cold treatment rooms, resting room and entire “spa experience” is an extra E$35 pp per day as its “outside operated” - you can judge if paying this extra for a day, or longer is worth it, but rest assured the quality is 100% excellent. The breakfast buffet is large and varied so something there for everyone. It even has a cigar room to enjoy a Cuban smoke! I could go on and on about how great it is - we so you tell we really enjoyed it. The only fault in the entire property? The toaster on the breakfast buffet is slowwwww and needs updating!

The Grand Hotel River Park provided an amazing experience from the moment we arrived - wonderful checkin with Martin - through checkout. Situated on the banks of the Danube, the hotel’s location allowed us to enjoy the art-filled 10-15 minute river promenade to Old Town Bratislava. Design and comfort are woven into every part of this hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast offered lovely views of the Danube and an excellent array of fresh food each morning. The luxurious spa offered panoramic views. The Lobby Bar is comfortable and elegant. The Riverbank Restaurant dishes were so delicious that we had dinner there twice during our stay. The sommelier introduced us to exciting Slovakian wines that we otherwise would have missed, and service from Zaid was impeccable. The hostesses Alena and Marianne at the restaurant were helpful and friendly throughout the day. A nice touch at the hotel is that they have student trainees working in the bar and restaurant; it’s nice to see this opportunity to help them develop hospitality skills. We’re looking forward to our next visit to the Grand Hotel River Park!

I visit Bratislava often for business and enjoy exploring and staying at different high end hotels. The area is terrific, right in the Danube, great for a morning or evening walk, many high end newer restaurants, it’s a hip area, also not far from yeme, a high end health oriented grocery store. The hotel itself Scogin’s, rooms well appointed. I found the hotel staff professional, competent, friendly. I recommend staying away from the spa, there are other, better places to visit. The opposite of hotel staff: rude, unfriendly, lacking customer service training on all ways…

Beautifully situation on the park/river; gorgeous indoor top floor pool and gym with no crowds and sweeping views. Friendly, attentive service ; enjoyed the room and all of the wonderful amenities.

Wonderful stay here and enjoyed every second. Excellent location. Wonderful views. Very central but also peaceful at the same time. Our stay was far too short and we will most definitely come back for another visit and hopefully for longer. Wonderful city and great vibes. New favourite location!
