FORESTIS is located in a densely wooded area, 1,800 m above sea-level, with a view of the Dolomites. The area’s unique and outstanding natural character had already prompted the Austrian monarchy to establish a tuberculosis sanatorium at precisely this special site. FORESTIS lies in a sheltered sunny location on the southern slope of the Plose mountain in the South Tyrolean Alps, directly opposite the impressive massifs of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. The extraordinarily pure Plose spring water, fresh mountain air, many sunny days and mild climate, where Adriatic currents meet air masses from the North, have a favourable effect upon the health and well-being.

Forestis Dolomites is top notch across the board. From the moment I arrived, everything was dialed in. The setting is unreal, the architecture is thoughtful, and the atmosphere is calm, confident, and refined — luxury without being stiff. The staff truly makes the place special. Florian, Andreas, and Tomasso were excellent up front. Samuel and the entire front desk team were professional, warm, and on point throughout my stay. In the restaurant, Alice, Amadeo, and Davide delivered outstanding service — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Every meal was memorable. The food was exceptional, the spa experience was first-class, and the overall level of service was exactly what I expect from a world-class property. Every detail felt intentional, and everyone played a role in making the stay unforgettable. Forestis sets the bar high. I absolutely loved my stay and would return without hesitation.

Forestis is a one-of-a-kind experience and place. To call it a hotel doesn't suffice, as it's much more than that - it's an oasis, a refuge. It's a bit of trek to get to Forestis (we flew into Milan, and took a 4-hour ride to the property), but once you're there, you don't need to (and won't want to) leave at all. Our time there was a seamless experience - the staff were incredibly lovely, helpful, and kind, and every detail/suggestion from the team was extremely thoughtful. Our time was made all the better by Davide from the restaurant, Clemens from the ski valet, and the general manager, Günther's, remarkable care (he knew and personally greeted everyone who was staying at the hotel). It's rare to come to a place where every single category/department exceeded expectations and quality from service, rooms, spa, food, location and decor. The dining room was the most unique space I've ever eaten in - truly dining nature's theater. Forestis is a masterclass in hospitality - I rarely go back to a place twice as I like to explore and try out new things, but because of how special and exceptional Forestis is, I will definitely be coming back again. The price to stay here is what you would expect with staying at a 5-star hotel, however compared to other 5-star hotels/hotel chains, Forestis delivers value far beyond what it quotes. If you are looking for a true luxury experience, look no further and only consider Forestis in the Dolomites. Definitely recommend a 2-3 night stay - one day for unwinding at the spa, and another for exploring the general area (hiking, or in our case, skiing) Need to find an excuse to visit again soon!!

Forestis is absolutely spectacular and I would recommend anyone that can afford it to spend 2 nights or more at this hotel. The Hotel and its Staff deserves 6 out of 5 stars for the following highlights: 1 Star for the Architecture, Landscape and Nature. I don't think many hotels in the world can compete with the design (interior and exterior), the views of the Dolomitti mountain range and the access to nature. The scandinavian minimalistic design contrasted with the raw rugged nature of the dolomites is unlike anything i have seen. Calm and wild at the same time. 1 Star for the exceptional and attentive staff. All the staff were nice, attentive and it felt like they both cared about their job and their guests. I know the management and owners takes great care of the employees. Special Shoutout to Maria, Lorenzo, Luca, Sandra, Federico, Irene, Regine and many others who looked after us. 1 Star for the exceptional food, cocktails, wine list and breakfast. The breakfast is unlike anything I've ever tried - and combined with the panoramic view of the dolomites, the beans and french toast tasted as great as ever. The 4 - 7 course menu in the evening was also fantastic and borderline Michelin worthy. Lorenzo and Federico made some fabulous cocktails and the wine card was pretty stellar (will have to come back without a pregnant wife!). 1 Star for the Spa and Spa Personnel and also the Spa Guests. Everyone was quiet, respectful and clearly cared for their own and others desire to rest and relax. No loud adults, no excessive public affection. The SPA is so well designed both functionally and aesthetically and has a broad selection of Saunas and Ice Baths. Place was nice and tidy all day long. 1 Star for the Arrival and Departure procedure. I really don't know anything better than someone standing ready to welcome me, knowing my name, opening my doors and handling my luggage and car. From the moment we arrived to the moment departed Forestis, its staff and their operating procedures were executed absolutely flawless. 1 Star for the housekeeping staff. The place was absolutely spotless and pristine all the time. Rooms were nice and taken care of twice a day (during breakfast and dinner). Notes on our stay: We were a couple staying here in January 2026 (which i understood was off-season). There was snow, sunshine, and mild temperatures, which allowed us to make great use of both the indoor and outdoor facilities. We were not skiing so 2 days was decent enough for us, although i would have gladly stayed another night. From a value perspective i actually think FORESTIS delivers far more value than they charge for the rooms. Nominally yes, the rooms are expensive, but i will happily fork out that amount knowing what FORESTIS is about. The 7 course menu was definitely worth the 125 EUR. With that said, you have to be prepared (mentally and financially) to fork out at least 750 - 1500 EUR to have an F&B experience that matches your surroundings. We did the 7 course menu the first night and then a la carte the other night. Our Spa (baby moon) trip through Austria and the Dolomites counted SALTUS, FORESTIS and Naturhotel Forsthofgut (in that order). I am not reviewing the other hotels here and they are difficult to compare. But FORESTIS is the only of the 3 that i will come back to. Guaranteed. At FORESTIS I felt closer to heaven both physically, spiritually and mentally and i encourage anyone who needs a break to visit this place. Thanks PN

Unreal experience. This is one of those bucketlist hotel experiences for a reason. We booked the suite with the view and outdoor balcony. We enjoyed the staff, the food, and the pool. We enjoyed the various saunas, cold plunges, and hiking trails. An incredible experience.

This is an absolutely fabulous facility that I discovered by accident, but must be among the best experiences in Europe for understated luxury, excellent food, fabulous service, a great balance between relaxation and access to sports activities, views of the most beautiful mountains in Europe and a very elegant clientele that is focused on both sports and superb food and spa facilities. Much of the credit goes to the staff which is incredibly helpful and competent.
