Stamford Plaza Brisbane

Hotel was lovely room nice and facilities great. Breakfast good choices and nice sat by river. Concierge helpful and pleasant and room beautifully clean. The rest of staff on reception and breakfast were not so great. Abrupt , stressed, inefficient. Had to ask 3 times at reception just to get coat hangers. Coffee machine at breakfast constant queue or empty. Maybe not enough staff?

This beautifully positioned hotel used to be one of the highlights of our trips to Australia. Sadly this time it’s been a comedy of errors. Our laundry got lost for three days ( despite concierge insisting it was in our room); the cold water tap in the bathroom never worked; there were hardly any staff to be seen ( although the ones we did find were manfully trying to do their best) and breakfast was chaotic and disorganised. Come on Stamford Plaza, you need to up your game in time for the Olympics

Very nice hotel, great location and large rooms. The restaurants are significantly pricey, but there are plenty of options around. The other facilities are marvellous and the rooms are quiet. Just hope that no one plays the “slam-the-door-as-hard-as-a-human-can” game after midnight, as it will keep you awake.

Excellent location next to the botanical gardens and close to CityCat stop, friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows. Let down by no coffee machine in the room and coffee at breakfast was from a machine and barely warm. Other than this it was a great place to stay and I would come again

So so in general. Staff on the other hand are top notch. The entire hotel needs a freshen up. Plenty of other options at this high price point. Excellent location
