Stamford Plaza Brisbane

I love a bit of atmosphere and history, so the Stamford was great for me. Large room, old style, comfortable furniture and fantastic location. I loved the view from my room and the breakfast was fabulous.

Great Location for the Tour de Brisbane Cycle event - right at the start line. No microwave. Phones in rooms don't work so can't contact room service or reception. Pool and spa good and great view over the river but they say it is heated but it was on the colder side of warm. Breakfast was very average for $32 and they wouldn't provide a continental breakfast for the early start on race day. Coffee facilities in the room are just standard instant, no plunger or expresso. You need to order fresh milk from reception otherwise its capsules long life milk. They provide a 2 bottles of water each day. Bed was comfortable. Parking is outrageous at $45 a day. First Parking is around the corner about 200m away and have great flat rates for weekends - we dropped the car on Saturday and picked it up Sunday night and it cost $16 - if you join up for free you get 20% discount -super easy process. Staff are all very friendly and helpful at the motel Nice view over the river and the Story Bridge. Access to the boardwalk is good with great access to other nice bars and restaurants. Located right next to the beautiful Botanical Gardens and walking /cycling paths.

Excellent location. My 3rd stay and would highly recommend. Good value and staff were very accommodating sorting and requests swiftly.

Perfect city centre loocation , nice clean and spacious room,very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Prime location with a beautiful view of the Brisbane river. Spacious rooms, older but well maintained & very clean. Bars & restaurants downstairs were that good that we didn't need to go anywhere else to eat.
