Known as the Venice of the North, the quaint streets of Bruges, Belgium are postcard-picture perfect. Part of the Dutch speaking part of Belgium known as Flanders, Bruges is a medieval city replete with city walls, winding cobblestone streets, bustling town squares, and beautiful canals lined with homes that look like gingerbread cutouts. In the heart of it all find a gem in The Hotel Heritage, where old world refinement and luxury meet modern pampering and indulgence. The Heritage is a haven of comfort and style in this romantic city of canals and history. Recently The Hotel Heritage successfully completed a full renovation of its four suites, and has designed a new lounge, named Le Magnum. This new lounge is a bar concept located inside the 24-room hotel, with the ambience of a private club featuring elegant banquettes and a small library.

Everything was fabulous. The welcome reception was warm and informative and the room was very luxurious and romantic.. we loved hearing the church bells next door ring through our window.

Hotel Heritage checked all of the boxes for our first visit to Bruges. It’s a lovely property, well located, with beautiful rooms and public areas all furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Staff are professional, attentive and friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate us. Special thanks to Nathan for diligently and quickly attending to a minor problem with professionalism and charm on his day off! The breakfasts are not to be missed. This will be our destination for our next visit to Bruges.

I have now stayed at the Heritage twice for 6 and 5 days each time (May 2023 and May 2025) and it is a wonderful hotel right in the center of Bruges within walking distance of everything. The staff, including the owners, are warm and attentive and very helpful and they all speak English as well as Flemish, French, etc. The rooms are beautifully appointed and quiet, the library-bar and the dining room are also beautifully decorated. The food is delicious and I would recommend getting the full breakfast with the room. They have valet parking (come and go as you please) for a reasonable price, which makes it easier if you have a car and want to take day trips to other places. I cannot recommend the hotel enough and look forward to going back next year.

Outstanding stay in a very good hotel. Superb location - yards from the main square but on a quiet street. Valet parking - 5 minutes wait. Very helpful attentive, friendly and professional staff, thank you! Comfortable rooms, good mattresses, good sleep. Nice bar, good choice of drinks, very good breakfast - both continental and buffet choice.

The owners are trying hard to provide a quality experience. Baggage handling, fruit in the room, beautiful breakfast. Well trained helpful staff. Nice location in the city center. Charming decor that respects the historical traditions.
