I didn't even "stay" here because my experience was so horrible. I booked it and asked for an early check-in. The man at the front desk told me he would let me check in at 12pm. So I went out and explored for a little bit. Returned at 11:55 to see the same man at the desk. Said hey I'm back to check-in now like you promised. He acted like he never told me that, and that he had never even seen me before! Said he had no clue what I was talking about and that check in isn't until 3pm. I understand that, but he had specifically promised me a 12pm checkin. And then proceeded to act like he had never even spoken to me when I showed up at the time he stated? And was extremely rude about it and started yelling at me for making things up. Yes, YELLED while the other staff stood and laughed. I cancelled my stay and booked a different property. The location was great, right next to a grocery store and the train station. But I cancelled because I wasn't going to be treated like a liar and with such disrespect. This was 6 months ago now (Feb 2025) but I still think about it.

I expected a lot more than we got. I've stayed at many properties in Brussels, mostly in the Marriott group. For this trip we were traveling with another couple and based ourselves in Brussels for 5 nights. We were attending the amazing Braderie de Lillie for 2 days and then doing day trips after that. The location directly across from the Central train station seemed to be a good choice for this trip. As a Lifetime Hilton Diamond member (Over 1,000 nights with Hilton BTW), I've usually been given a decent upgrade. Not so much here. I very nicely asked if I could get 1 room out of the 2 paid rooms upgraded and explained the reason for the trip and that we would be buying a decent amount of things at the market and are traveling with friends. I was told No. After a back room "manager" came out, I again very nicely nicely asked again. After much clicking, our room was "upgraded" to an executive king. Before arriving, I had looked on the web site at the rooms available during our stay. There were 5 levels of upgrades that stayed open during the entirety of our stay. I was awarded a room with an extra meter of space in front of the bed as an expression of gratitude for 38 years of loyalty to the brand even though many other rooms sat empty. In our room, the bed was very nice and quiet as it faced the back. All of the USB plugs next to the beds didn't work. 1 of the lamps next to the bed didn't work. 1 of the reading lamps next to the bed didn't sit into the clip so it would keep falling out and turning on - thankfully we had tape with us as were shopping at the market taped it in. The room also wouldn't cool down so we slept with windows open to try to get the temp down. We very well could have reported all of these issues early on and I'm sure they could have taken taken care of or our room changed, however we had been at a huge market and such a change would not have worked well. In addition, we didn't want a number of folks coming in out to take care of the issues (That should have never been). Upon checkout, when asked how my stay was, I very politely told him about my concerns, when asked if I would like a reply, I said yes as well as having a response from Ellen, the GM. I received a n email from the operations head addressing 3 of the 4 structural issues but nothing from the GM.

Hotel is in a fantastic central location, just across from the Central train station and a five minute walk from Grand Place, restaurant row, etc. while many reviews mention noise issues from outside, my room on the backside of the hotel had absolutely none. And because it is a refurbished building, there is a great noise dampening between rooms and floors. Throughout the hotel, the air-conditioning works very well. The daily breakfast buffet was comprehensive and always well prepared. Also a special shout out to Marios, who goes over and above to address any issues encountered.

We stayed for one night as part of the final leg of our European road trip. The rooms were fairly small and dated. The bathroom had signs of mould around the shower door and ceiling. The beds were good and the AC worked very well. We had emailed in advance asking about parking and were advised that there was parking under the hotel. However we were not advised that you need to go to level -2 then get another elevator into the hotel. Due to this we ended up walking around the hotel through the train station with all our luggage. The check in was very abrupt and informal. At the end of the after sightseeing we thought we would grab a drink in the bar, however they did not have one of the drinks requested, Baileys Irish Cream. Apart from these issues the hotel has a great location within walking distance of all the main sites in Brussels. We would probably give the hotel another try if we were to visit Brussels again.

Hubby is a Hilton Diamond member so we picked this hotel over others because of the location. Good about the location is it is a 2 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk into the old town city center filled with restaurants and shops. Bad is there were homeless people right outside the front doors and in the park right across from the hotel. Lobby is very pretty, room was tired and needed a refresh. We got upgraded to a Junior suite and neither of us were impressed. First the roof slopes and the only windows are in that sloped area so if you are tall you can see out of them if you go up close. There were two sets of windows, the blinds were broken on half of them. one set was maybe 3 ft behind a built in desk so pretty much impossible to reach so we didn't bother with those. Couple outlets weren't working nor was one of the bedside lamps. The bathroom was nice though. We only ate breakfast and visited the executive lounge there. Breakfast was nice, plenty of choices and everything was good. Executive lounge was ok, some small bottles of water would have been nice. Asked the front desk one day about tours and he ha no idea and told me to connect to their wifi and google it.
