Plush pictures of the foyer aside, this hotel is far from great. There are too many things that fall below the line of "excellent" and as such, with a bit of attention to detail and a more sensitive approach to the realities of the modern world, it could get to the standards required. For example - they have a coffee machine in reception that they will not turn on before 7.30am! So if you are going to a meeting on the other side of town for 8am and you want a coffee, either pay 29e for breakfast (more of that later), or you have to go outside where virtually nothing is open before 8. The breakfast - 29e and it is so unspectacular, charging this should be a source of embarrassment. They open the doors at 7am (it's a business hotel - so why not earlier) and already the hot food is tepid at best. As limited a hot food selection as a 3* in Manchester. In room drinks were embarrassing. Worse than a travelodge. The TV controller had access to smart services - incl. a button for Netflix which took you to the alarm. Shower - hot water was intermittent at best and not very powerful. However the room was a decent size and bed was comfortable. Last but not least the bar! It closed at 11pm and that was that. So after a long day of meetings, and a work dinner, the thought of a nightcap at the hotel was most appealing. But no, locked up and dark in the centre of a major western capital city. I asked for a cup of water 1 evening to take a paracetomol. I was told that I could not get that as they could not guarantee the water quality! Seriously.... this is Brussels and not Baghdad. Staff were largely fine - but there was not much interaction which tested this. So sort yourself out Hilton Group. There used to be more options for Hilton customers in Brussels, but now if you want to stay loyal to the brand, these are much reduced so Im grateful there's no plans to return to Brussels anytime soon.

For our purposes, this was an excellent hotel. For our three nights, we were also upgraded and enjoyed breakfast and the executive lounge as diamond members. We even had our own Diamond Member apples. (see photo) Since we stayed during the summer, the rates were especially affordable. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was above average, and the staff was friendly. The manager was friendly and welcoming also. We had access to the train/metro station and we walked to the old central town. It was an excellent place for a short vacation. There were also a lot of Smurfs at the hotel and nearby.

I’m traveling with my mother for a celebratory 70th and 40th birthday trip. We were so very pleased with our time at the Hilton Grand Place. We had room 303, which was very spacious and included two twin beds. As some have said, the furniture does have some chips and the the towels are in fact threadbare. However, the beds themselves were quite comfortable, the television had channels for almost every possible language, and the bathroom is massive with a shower and bath. What really stood out though was the customer service. I mentioned in my reservation I was traveling with my mother for our birthdays and that we needed to be sure to have two beds. When we checked in we were given complimentary access to the executive lounged and wished happy birthdays. Then right after checking out we learned our Eurostar train was cancelled AND it looked like there was no other trains I could take. Soulaiman B. At the front desk, was so kind to translate some information AND provide options on what to do. Then we bearded over to the bar and Fathy at the bar was so incredibly kind and provided by mom and I a drink as we worked on figuring out our plans. As I realized that there were no rental cars available at Brussels Midi, and I went down Soulaiman’s suggestion and looked up a bus. Fathy was so kind to check in with us to make sure we were on a safe bus line and confirmed I had chosen the right locations etc. Honestly, could the rooms need some help? Absolutely, but if given a chance I’d be 1000% stay there again because the staff are just awesome.

We’re Hilton Gold members and currently staying here, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. At check-in, we were told we couldn’t stay in the twin room with our 2 young kids unless we paid over €1,000 extra to upgrade. The staff member, Valentina, was rude, unhelpful, and said she was “only 20 years old” — completely unprepared to handle the situation. Then close to midnight, someone knocked hard on our door despite the Do Not Disturb sign, claiming to prepare a bed that was already done — with no name tag. It felt unsafe and very unprofessional. Not at all what we expect from Hilton.

Staff is very friendly and so helpful. I had to stay extra day but had to reserve another type of room because hotel was almost full. Sara worked hard to allow me to stay in same room for extended night. So relaxing to stay in same room. I booked again at Hilton and remembering the help from last trip, had to write this great review.
