Fantastic Location and Excellent Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

You really can’t beat the location. The hotel is directly across from Brussels Central train station and a three-minute walk to the city center, making it incredibly convenient for both business and sightseeing. The hotel has a nice fitness center, and my room was extremely clean. The customer service was also excellent throughout my stay. Because this is a busy hotel, early check-in is hit or miss, and late checkout may be difficult if you have a popular room type, such as a twin-bed suite. The Executive Lounge was scheduled to close the night after my stay, so I’m not sure if that affected the food selection, but during Happy Hour there were only a few snacks available. They did have beer on tap, good wine, and a few spirits. The shower drain in my room was also slow, but since I was only staying one night, I didn’t raise it. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. The location, cleanliness, service, and overall value made it well worth it.

Perfect location, and it’s Hilton standard!

Great great location, right connecting to the train station. Walking distance to all the key attractions! So convenient! Hotel may split into two wings~~ guest room is functional. No too much surprises. City of Smurf and element also could be found in the hotel. Cute! This is the city for 1-2 nights, so, this hotel is the right choice!

August Service Issues?

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The key benefit to this hotel is its location. The room we were assigned (room 607) was also fine and spacious. The biggest issue is the lack of staff and limited service. We arrived after a 4 hour drive from France on Sunday at around 2.30........we were told there was nowhere in the hotel we could get a cold drink (a coke). The Executive Lounge was closed but would open at 5pm. The bar was closed and would not open until 6,30pm. There is a large sign in the lobby with a picture of the manager and a request to contact them for any issues. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he had gone home for the day and could not be contacted! When 5pm rolled around we attended the Executive Lounge - what was provided is the worst example of a lounge service. There was no beer (there was a plugged in tap that produced a glass of froth......after about 4 tries it eventually produced about a half a glass of beer which was warm, flat and undrinkable). There was a bottle of red wine and a pinot grigio (which was drunk quickly and not replaced). There were no spirits, no mixers, no juice and no water. The only other drinks were two large bottles of coke and sprite set in another wise empty fridge. There were no hot food snacks - just small white bowls filled with cheese, crisps or olives. The whole saga was serviced by one individual which was clearly insufficient for the number of customers. As a diamond member I am used to a variety of service from the lounge.....but in this case we had booked an executive floor suite that came with lounge service. There was no indictation that there would effectively be no lounge service available when we booked and paid. On the Monday, the same note about the lounge being closed for the month of August was in place outside the lounge door. We were travelling with our children and had booked a sofa sleeper - it was not made up when we arrived and despite two requests to the front desk nobody ever came to make it up. In fact during our time at the hotel we never saw any room service staff. We feared the worst for breakfast, but surprisingly that was quite good and adequately serviced. All in all, a well located hotel inadequately staffed and serviced. It will be interesting to know if the issues we experienced were just relative to the month of August.....I do not think we will be finding out!

Very good hotel in the center of Brussels

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

A good Hilton Hotel in central Brussels, opposite the main station which is underground (no noise). Short walking distance to Grand Place and the major touristic spots there. You can also walk to Sablon, the Royal Palace. The Parking Garage is Interparking Grand Place. It is not run by Hilton and costs about 30 Euros per day. It is a bit difficult to find, use your GPS. The traffic is moderate, but you need your nerves. There are two entrances to the parking garage. Use the one at Boulevard de L'Imperatrice. There is a direct access from the parking garage to the Hilton with a lift. Look in the four corners of the rectangular parking garage. The hotel is spacious, the room as well. Excellent breakfast Hilton style. Good A/C., good bed, good bathroom. Minor problems with room installations were rapidly addressed and repaired. Except for a communication problem that concerned the vouchers given as compensation for the closed Executive Lounge, everything was perfect. 90% of the staff was very friendly and helpful, with 10% (at the reception), we had our issues. The price is appropriate for the hotel. We would certainly come again.

very nice stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Overall, I don't have any complaints about this hotel. The staff was very nice, the hotel and the room itself were nice and clean. The breakfast selection was very good and it is quite literally only steps from the train station. This hotel is far, far better than the other Hilton closer to midi station and I highly recommend choosing this one.
