Hilton Brussels Grand Place

Booked here for a few days for our trip to Brussels. It is literally across from Brussels Central station across the plaza and 1 minute walk. Staff were really good and helpful. Got upgraded to a junior suite as a Diamond member and it was spacious although slightly dated. Location is also good to walk to the Grand Place which is less than 10 mins walk and also for shopping areas. The lounge on the ground floor is quite small and sometimes difficult to find a place, particularly in the evening for the happy hour which has a small section of food with two hot options and even smaller wine and beer selection. This is something that definitely could be improved on. Communication pre-arrival was hit and miss since there were some issues that were not resolved before we arrived but once arrived, everything was ok. Would recommend it still and would be my go to place in Brussels if we ever go back.

The location is main benefit of this hotel. Staff is not warm or welcoming. They didn’t give us info on lounge—or even access—had to go back to add it. Room is just ok. We had a separate tub and shower. Stay here expecting this and you will be fine. If you are looking for warmth from staff probably best to stay elsewhere.

Great location; large room...BUT NO housekeeping, had to call every day to get the rubbish collected, no changing of sheets even after three days despite their stated policy, very rude staff, every time I called they would say "it is too late to ask for room service" "you sure you did not put the do not disturb sign on" etc etc and eventually they would someone to empty the bins. Terrible service, terrible staff, what a disgrace for the Hilton brand...

We booked and prepaid 9 king junior suites. At check in 4 of them had been downgraded. The hotel offered no notice before check in, no solution at all and no compensation before it was escalated to a manager. Even then the compensation was not really matching the events. Still waiting for the small refund based on the lower rate, which I don’t consider a compensation since we of course should not pay for a suite when getting a normal guestroom

1st Visit to Brussels. Hilton Grand is located outside of Brussels Central Station. Hotel was a great spot for our home base. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, food and drinks were grand. Hotel was convenient to many of the site seeing in the area with plenty of restaurant and drink locations near by. We walked everywhere! Recommend this location for those wanting to be close to the action but not in the action. I ate some of the largest mussels I have ever seen and they were amazing! Be sure to try the "real" Belgium waffles! Chocolate is a must :)
