NH Collection Brussels Grand Sablon

The location of this hotel was perfect. Very quiet (apart from the bin lorry on a Monday morning!) and easy walking distance to the main square. We stayed in a junior suite which was huge! Lovely big bed and two toilets, which is always helpful when travelling as a family. The staff were incredibly friendly and the free sweets and afternoon treats were a beautiful touch. However, it was the breakfast that was the stand out experience of our stay. Amazing choice of fresh and cooked foods, and the pastries were delicious!

Great hotel. Easy location to walk most places. Very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms with clean bathrooms. Bonus was a free shoe shine on certain evenings. Fantastic job! My shoes were in terrible shape and Marcello made them look new again! It's not just a simple shine. He smoothed scuffs, used cream, and then polish. They're nourished and hydrated! Very friendly to talk with as well. Highly recommend you give him the opportunity to work on your shoes. Thank you, Marcello! I stayed here for business but would come back and stay on vacation in a heartbeat.

Everything was very nice at the hotel. The breakfast was diverse, and I especially loved the fresh orange juice and the chocolate spread. Unfortunately, our first interaction with the male receptionist (possibly named Maximilian) was disappointing. When we arrived, we were informed that the room had not been paid, although we believed payment had already been made online. While we understand the confusion, his attitude felt irritated and unhelpful. After completing the payment, no information was provided about the room options, breakfast details, hotel facilities, or the QR code with useful information. We were simply given a room key. Upon entering the room, we discovered that the window faced a brick wall. We immediately requested a room change, and although this was eventually resolved and we were moved to a top-floor room, the overall experience at reception left a negative first impression. Fortunately, the rest of our stay was very pleasant. The room comfort, view, bathroom products, and especially the kindness and friendliness of the other staff members made up for the initial disappointment. Thank you, and we may consider returning to NH Collection Sablon in the future.
