Great hotel, just don’t expect 5 star

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had an enjoyable 6 nights here and would happily stay again. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean - and importantly for summer, had excellent aircon. The location is pretty good - nearby the metro, trams, and the major shopping district. The centre (Grand Place) is about 20 mins walk - beware it’s a bit of a hill coming back! The weakest point was breakfast - some parts were amazing (eggs, orange juice) but the coffee was rubbish and the range wasn’t huge - eg no milk alternatives. This used to be a 5-star Sofitel, and now it’s been downgraded to an MGallery. You can see why - it’s not big or posh, but for a 4-star hotel it’s great.

Perfect hotel and city break!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Le Louise is a fabulous hotel and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Brussels. We received a wonderful welcome from hotel staff who were polite, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is conveniently located, close to two metro stations (5 minute walk away), and a 25 minute walk into the city centre. Around the hotel are many lovely shops and restaurants. We stayed in a deluxe garden view room and had no complaints at all - everything was clean, all amenities available, coffee machine, an extremely comfy bed, slippers and robe, plenty of space to sit etc. The hotel garden has plenty of outdoor seating and there is also a hotel bar, although we didn’t have time to visit these. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice, all fresh and very good quality (freshly squeezed fruit juices, waffles, pancakes, pastries, meats, cheeses, hot options, including omelettes made to order, yogurts, dairy alternatives etc.). Having stayed here for a 3 night city break, we would definitely recommend Brussels and Hotel Le Louise to anyone wanting to explore the city. Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable!

Disappointing Return Stay: great location, but loyalty and service standards have slipped

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have just completed our third stay at Le Louise. On the positive side, the location remains fantastic, with many major attractions within easy walking distance. The breakfasts were consistently high quality, and the early morning staff were warm, professional and courteous. Unfortunately, other aspects of our stay fell short of expectations. Our room was not as pristine as on previous visits, with stray hairs on the bathroom floor and visible wear on the bed linens. While not severe enough to complain about during our stay, these details felt indicative of a general decline in standards. Additionally, the unpleasant odour around the hotel entrance persists. Most disappointing, however, was the service at reception. Despite our Accor Platinum status, no room upgrade was available. When we asked for a late checkout, we were granted just one additional hour alongside a rather stern lecture on availability. While we fully understand that high occupancy can limit flexibility, we were surprised by the brusque delivery. Rather than feeling like valued returning guests, we felt treated as an inconvenience to be cleared from the desk as quickly as possible. There is an art to handling constraints with warmth, which was missing here. We checked out feeling genuinely devalued and disappointed that brand loyalty counted for so little on this occasion.

Hospitality and help rising above adversity

We had a fantastic stay at Le Louise. The room was great, as well as the food and bar service. All staff were super helpful, especially Mariano Van Cleve - the Chef Concierge. I fell on our walk from the train to the hotel - on the first night of our 3 week trip! He made sure I had plenty of ice for my injuries for multiple days and also personally escorted me to the shops where I could buy a brace for my badly bruised knee. I can't remember their names, but also 2 staff from housekeeping came to our room to pick up and take special instructions to clean the pants I was wearing when I fell that were stained cobblestone street muck. They came back perfect.

Brilliant location, hidden GEM What an amazing experience, you go up the escalator into a whole new paradise of efficiency and comfort. Friendliness, great service, excellent food. the Rooms are beyond amazing with 5 star toiletries. Room service was exceptional!!!! Centrally located and one can walk to most attractions. Great shopping with sales everywhere😊. Was about 1h30 to Spa race track and 30 Min from Tommorow Land music Fest. Just incase you want to book.
