Reviews for Sofitel Brussels Le Louise

A very well positioned luxury hotel in Brussels.

I spent 5 nights at the Le Louise MGallery in Brussels, fka the Sofitel Brussels Le Louise. This hotel is in one of the nicer neighborhoods in Brussels and I was at the hotel here once in 2016 when it was a Sofitel — and I wasn’t an Accor Live Limitless member then. I stayed here with a combination of paying for my stay up front and paying €320 ($360 USD or so) in Accor points — so I spent about $350 total. As a Gold member now, I got my applicable benefits like a Welcome drink (which I used at dinner later on) and a room upgrade - even though I paid over half of my trip in points. There were only 11 rooms on my floor and I’d imagine there are only 11 rooms on each of the remaining floors as well. My room faced away from Avenue Louise/Gulden-Vlieslaan and I was able to get five comfortable nights of sleep while on vacation. The bed is about as comfortable as any that I’ve been on. The room is large for European standards with an open closet that could really hold enough clothes for 5 people. The fridge had two bottles of water which got refilled each day if you took the waters. The breakfast here is a buffet with scrambled eggs, fruit, cereal, breads, sausage, bacon, and eggs to order. Food was regularly replaced through 10:30 at close on the weekdays. Some other things about convenience with this hotel: 1 - Nearest supermarket: For most of us, there’s a Delhaize in the Louise/Louiza station which is about a 2 minute walk. Just take the escalator, buy your waters, snacks, etc. No need to go past the tap-and-pay gates. Open until 10 pm every day. There is also a Carrefour about a 10 minute walk away. 2 - Going around town: It’s 3 stops away from Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi/Brussels South station via Line 2 or Line 6 on the Brussels subway - trains go every 5-6 minutes during the day and the Louise/Louiza corner has a big tram station as well. Brussels South is the main train station that takes you to all the major cities in Belgium like Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven, Mons, Liege, Namur, etc. 3 - It’s about a 20 minute walk from the Grote Markt/Grand Place and about a 20-25 min walk to the EU area. On vacation you won’t mind going on the longer walks. 4 - Staff is friendly and helpful. ave me tips on how movies work in Brussels (All the English language versions are available with Dutch/French subtitles. Some movies are played with French or Dutch dubbing within Brussels. 5 - The hotel is next to shopping mall, literally next to a Nike store, the Apple Store for Brussels and a movie theater. 6 - There is no need to walk all the way to the historic center for Belgian chocolate. There are numerous Neuhaus shops within a 10 minute walk, and a Pierre Marcolini on Ave Louise in the same complex as another luxury hotel. Again, I enjoyed my stay at the Le Louise MGallery after not visiting this property in nearly a decade. It is well renovated. And it is still a 5 star hotel in every sense. I certainly will look to continue visiting this hotel in the future when I return to Belgium.

Very disappointing hotel

Noisy room, air conditioning constantly in error, stole champagne from by fridge, had to argue to get my included breakfast. As a Accor Diamond extremely disappointed.

Gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Brussels

A superb boutique hotel in the heart of Brussels. I loved the location of the hotel, walkable anywhere. The staff and bell hops are very kind and helpful. The bedding and room fixtures are tasteful. The coffee and teas are nice quality. I like that they offer you chocolate upon check in. I would definitely stay at this fantastic hotel again!

Well situated for business and pleasure

Visited Le Louise for a conference and to take in some of the city slights. The hotel is in a great location to walk to some of the city centre sites and has some high quality conference facilities for businesses. We found the rooms well appointed, the garden restaurant a nice feature, the staff (especially front desk) very helpful and engaging, and the quality of the food - individual and buffet style - was good. Even better if the service at the restaurant was not so slow (gave up paying at the table and went to the desk) - more staffing here please, the seating in the rooms was a little more comfortable - even it looks good, there was a bit more choice on the TV. The reception area is also sparse when conferences are live. That being said, would recommend and certainly visit again.

Had some truly excellent service here.

We do love an MGallery and seek them out in various parts of the world. This one is ‘on point’ nice clean rooms, super shower with good L’Occitane products. Couple of niggles. The bar area in the courtyard kept being closed, even though the weather was perfect. Also the breakfast offering is good but not great. They could really use some more options. Hotel is well located and handy to the metro, a quick trip to the Grand Place etc. the biggest highlight was front desk staff Esther. My goodness she went over and above with her service.
