We were disappointed. This is a Forbes rated property, and we have found Forbes to be very consistent with our expectations when booking stays at luxury properties. This is the first time we have been let down. We stayed in a junior suite for two nights (€1,500/night for the two nights we were there). The room was fine. It did not compare to typical luxury properties (bed was meh, linens were average, carpet was thin, air conditioner failed to adequately cool/dehumidify and i eventually asked for service which improved but did not resolve the problem). On our second evening there was a water outage to the area of the city. Not the hotel’s fault. It lasted maybe two hours. After water was back on we flushed water thru the faucets as instructed. Then 1-2 hours later we did not have hot water. We called TWICE to ask if this was an isolated problem or eta to repair time. We were told we would get a call back and we never did. So we took cold showers our second night. My guess is the hot water ran out when everyone’s water was restored and used to flush lines/take showers and by the time we were ready to shower the hot water was depleted. But for €1,500/night, I should have some communication from front desk after calling twice and being told to expect a call back. We did room service one night. Food was ok. Not great. Not bad. No doormen greeted us at door on arrival or departure and offered to carry bags, a standard process at luxury properties. All in all, disappointed. This was not a luxury stay but was a luxury price point. Forbes missed it and I suspect the property will lose its Forbes rating at next evaluation.

Excellent location. Tram directly outside the hotel and taxes are available in front of the hotel. A 5 star experience with check in, cleanliness of room, food and beverage services. We had a courtyard facing room and did not hear any street noise. The room was large with a shower and bathtub. The concierge was very helpful with requests. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Brussels.

We are truly grateful to the Steigenberger team for making our recent visit so special and unforgettable—it was a genuine 5-star experience. From the moment we booked our extended weekend, we felt we were in excellent hands. All of our questions were answered promptly before our arrival, which gave us great peace of mind. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Angelo on the steps leading up to the front desk, and after check-in, Blanca kindly showed us to our room and patiently answered our many questions. Each day, we were greeted with such warmth by the team that, by the end of our stay, we knew many of them by name. This personal touch made our visit even more meaningful. From a delicious breakfast to the chocolates delivered in the evening. Our trip was especially memorable as we were celebrating a birthday. We had a wonderful dinner at Restaurant Loui by Frederic and David—the service was impeccable, and the meals were absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this exceptional hotel and the dedicated team who work tirelessly, both in front of and behind the scenes, to ensure every guest enjoys a truly memorable experience. thank you.

This was our second stay at this excellent hotel with our teenage boys, and it remains our top choice in Brussels. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though some furniture and bathrooms are showing their age. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, but the real highlight is the service—Kareema and her team are meticulous and truly provide the best service we've experienced. Check-in was seamless thanks to the incredibly helpful front desk staff, who go above and beyond to ensure you're satisfied with your room. Located in a safe, walkable area with great transit links, it’s an ideal base for families.
