Hotel in Brussels, Belgium

Stayed here in June for two nights. Part of the AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts collection—got a Deluxe Room and they upgraded us to one that had a balcony patio overlooking the courtyard! Room was pretty spacious, clean and comfy, with complimentary mini-bar. Very poor WiFi reception in the room. Also, air conditioning in the room didn’t get as cold as it should have been (the hallways was colder!)—we did report this and an engineer came to try to repair the issue. We got complimentary breakfast included in our stay—Café Wiltcher’s was pretty good! Lots of food and beverage options to choose from. They don’t let you take the water bottles with you which was a bummer (no offer to let us purchase them either). Loui Restaurant was okay for dinner and Loui Cocktail Bar was good for drinks, has a nice classy vibe and is open late. Overall, staff were helpful, hotel was nice, and getting taxi was easy, just the location was a bit far from all the popular tourist attractions.

Excellent stay

Very friendly reception. The staff do care about the wellbeing of the guest. The hotel is quiet, clean and of high standing. The room is spacious and very comfortable. Nice dinner in the hotel's restaurant.

High street posh hotell

Enjoyed a week at this hotel in Brussels. Nice and clean. Walking distance to most of the sights. Tram runs just a few yards from the hotel. We had a room with two floors. Good or bad, hard to say. Plenty of space at least. A little wear and tear here and there in the room, but nothing big. Breakfast was way overpriced. I recommend going to a local cafe for your morning meal. One thing that struk me as odd was the that the doormen and people at the front desk never said hello or god morning or whatever. Wich is usually the case in most other hotels in this price category. At one point one of the doormen was talking to friends right Infront of the main entrance. Had to ask them to move so I could get out. So increase the service level. Would I come back? Maybe, I think the not saying hello part really got to me.

Beautiful hotel but mix up with room rate booked

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I’d booked half board / breakfast and evening meal but on arrival was told rather sternly by reception staff and then a manager that they only offer bed and breakfast. Despite me showing the confirmation email stating half board they refused to honour the booking and only provided me bed and breakfast for the three nights. This meant I ate out for other meals at additional expense. I did get most of the money back eventually from booking.com. Not sure if it was the hotel or travel companies fault that I was able to book a rate the hotel didn’t offer but it certainly tainted my trip. The hotel itself is in a central location and is beautiful with huge bedrooms and a comfy bed.
