Spent three nights at the hotel recently and enjoyed the stay. On the plus side, the concierge team was great in helping us take advantage of Brussels. They arranged a guide for us and took care of multiple restaurant reservations. We ate dinner one night in hotel. Food was fine, but not exceptional. Breakfast was good, however, but on one day was quite crowded. The room was nice and large by European standards. From a location perspective, the hotel is removed from the tourist spots, but is close to shopping. It is easy to get a cab or uber from the hotel or you can simply walk to the older parts of town. One note on cabs. If you get in a cab at the hotel and the driver tells you his machine is broken, switch cabs. Our cab driver told us his machine was broken while we were driving to our destination and charged us a fare that was double the norm. Not the hotel’s issue, but something to be aware of. End result, we enjoyed the stay. It is a comfortable hotel with a helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel looks better in reality than the photos. We were kindly upgraded to a deluxe room upon arrival courtesy of American Express Platinum with late checkout. Room is large with huge bright windows looking down at the inner court yard. Loved the spacious wardrobes you can wheel the suitcase in and plenty of hangers. Comfy chairs and bed benches at the foot of the bed. Really like the welcome gesture of a small Belgium chocolates box and sweet ginger biscuit by Maison Dandoy. Complimentary still water for the room. Breakfast - good selection. On our last day half an hour before it finished it seemed everyone woke up late and there was not enough seats and food available. The staff was quick thinking and opened up the Louis bar next door so we could be seated. Among the chaos of looking for cutlery and finding most hot breakfast items gone. Staff tried to fill the cold meat selection and took orders for freshly made omelettes. We still had a good breakfast courtesy of the staff involved. Thank you! Drinks at the Louis bar is excellent, good selection of cocktails and i am impressed with the selection of mocktails all made to perfection. We didn’t try the food on offer but I can see it was beautiful presented. If they take good care with the cocktails then I’m sure the food would be just as excellent. Why I didn’t give 5 stars was mainly because it felt short of basic necessities in the rooms and management should make sure consistency of maintenance are met for each customer visiting. Even though these are minor issues, these are very basic needs of customers. No lighting in the shower, lack of clothes hook in bathroom to hang bathrobe and towels. Hand soap provided but no soap tray leaving soapy mess after use. The safe has no electrics so can not be used. The deadlock on door is missing however to access the lift you do need room card which gives me assurance you need to be a guest of the hotel for access to upper floors. I left these concerns with reception at checkout so hopefully these get looked in too. It should’ve be left for customers to let the hotel know what the issues are. Most people stay for a short break and won’t be happy for people to gain access to fix items.

My daughter Alexia invited me for breakfast at this beautiful hotel. We were greeted by a smiling and welcoming staff at the entrance of the hotel. Karima and her team in the breakfast area were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choice - thanks to the chef for the 'oeufs benedict', just delicious. Thanks for a special moment with a great atmosphere.

Wonderful hotel, I travelled alone and I felt very safe in this hotel. I truly recommend. The staff is very friendly and always attentive on the guest details. The rooms are very clean, big enough for 2 pax. For a women that travels alone I felt comfortable and relaxed even in a country as Belgium.

While this hotel is nice in terms of decor, staff/service and location, we were very disappointed that children are not allowed to use the swimming pool at all - not at any hour of the day. Strange to see this type of rule in place, which blatantly excludes children, in this day and age - it didn’t even occur to us that we should double check pool access rules, but sure enough it was written in the small print. My 6 year old was really upset over it and while we made a complaint to staff on this there was no budging on it. In addition, there are many split levels both in bedrooms and across common areas of the hotel, which makes it difficult to get around with a buggy (and wheelchair too, I’d imagine). On the plus side, breakfast was very nice and the staff were lovely. Unfortunately we won’t return as it’s just not a good place to travel with small children.
