Reviews for Corinthia Bucharest

Fantastic hotel stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

After a Danube river cruise my wife and I celebrated her 65th birthday with a special stay at the Corinthia, and it was a great decision. This is a stunning hotel! The interior design of the public rooms, the art, the decorative furnishings and floral arrangements, the stone statues in the lobby, and the Murano glass chandeliers were gorgeous. The room was equally beautiful, one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. The hotel has only been open for about six months and is a boutique hotel with 32 rooms. I don't think it was that busy so they upgraded us to a larger suite, and gave us champagne and sweets for my wife's birthday. We dined in their equally gorgeous Boulevard 73 restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The location is great too, close to old town and the main shopping streets. And service was superb. They made us feel very welcome, upgraded our stay, and booked us a private airport limo to the airport for 3am for our early flight home. We moved to the Corinthia from the JW Marriott, which was nice, but there is no doubt which is the nicest hotel in Bucharest. It's the Corinthia, by far!

So fantastic that we are now fans of Corinthia and planning our next trip.

I am speechless, and I am never speechless. Even if you had no intention of ever visiting Bucharest, you should go just to spend time in this hotel. The decor is gorgeous and manages to modernise a bygone era with style and charm. The staff are attentive and helpful with service that feels like you have travelled back to a time when hotels understood guest care and customer service. I travel all of the time and sometimes, I mess up arrangements. But this time I really excelled. Upon arrival it transpired that I had booked Budapest and not Bucharest. Even I am not normally this stupid especially since Geography and travel are my special interests. The staff were truly amazing. They found us a room and even upgraded us whilst also calling the other hotel to arrange for a refund. They were kind and caring and supportive whilst also being incredibly professional. A combination rarely found these days I find. We loved the tranquil atmosphere of the stunning bar and yet more delightful staff. We will return as soon as possible to try the restaurant with its selection of taster menus. Expensive compared to the city, but if the restaurant resembles everything else, then I am sure it will be worth it.

Nice rooms, limited dining options

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I thought the Corinthia was pretty good - very pricy by Bucharest standards, but the rooms were nice and the location is convenient. My biggest complain is the limited dining options, especially since even as a hotel guest it was totally impossible to get a table at Sass, which in any event was super loud and not the kind of place I'd want to have dinner. I tried the restaurant by the lobby (I forget the name) and the options were pretty limited.

The best hotel in Bucharest

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we had a 5* experience. As we were staying for a night to celebrate my wife’s birthday and a wedding anniversary, we were amazed to receive a complimentary upgrade to a luxurious suite. The drinks, food and facilities in the room, the bar and restaurant were fantastic and staff were incredibly attentive. A special thank you to the concierge Christina who went above and beyond to make our stay that extra bit special. An amazing experience we will never forget.

Stunning 5* hotel in Bucharest

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

My wife and I stayed recently at the relatively newly opened Corinthia Bucharest for 3 nights. We had an amazing stay, the properly is spectacular, lovingly refurbished over several years, only opening in late March this year. All of the rooms are suites and we were fortunate to stay in a superior suite. Fabulously comfortable and luxurious. Extremely spacious, with separate living room with sofa and table chairs. Amazing views to the city of Bucharest. The staff are without exception excellent, they really seem to care about you as guests as well as the hotel, with genuine interactions from housekeepers, reception, concierge and management. We ate at both restaurants for dinner and would thoroughly recommend both, with contrasting styles and cuisine but great nonetheless. We saw the gym and spa which again looked in keeping with the 5* nature of this hotel. Location is excellent, you can easily walk around Bucharest, yet only 30 minutes or so from the main airport by car. We would highly recommend this hotel, we hope it does well and we look forward to returning in the future. Certainly looking at the comparative properties in Bucharest this must be the best.
